I’ve run a noise reduction pass post-production in addition to my usual. It should be little less obnoxious. I have plans and talked about them. I also updated this Linux installation and got an updated Audacity. I hope it still works.
I’ll probably still look for a better solution but for the moment, I’ll try recording through my hearing aids. Something I never thought I’d say. It sounds a bit noisy to me, but I don’t have a good baseline to compare it to. Let me know if this is not going to work?
I talked about Shannon Eichorn’s debut novel, Rights of Use. It’s darn good. Also pens and X4
Meandered around about pens, X4 Frustrations, and made it home in no time flat!
ETA: A lot of noise artifacts between minutes 13:00 and 15:00. Sorry. They don’t show up on Audacity and I can’t clear them up. Probably hardware issues.
I got the bread baked before I left this morning. The lumpiest, ugliest looking loaves I’ve produced to date. Even including the sour dough way back whenever that was. A very weird outcome to a very standard recipe.
After yesterday’s rant I felt pretty mellow. Talked about pens and Jerry Boyd.
I talked about finally getting the Waterman Atria to write, and ranted about a post about writing science fiction and fantasy and why tradpub doesn’t publish “for men” any more. Fair warning: It might just be sour grapes because my membership card in the Manly Men Club has been stamped “Void.”
I’ll admit it felt good to rant. I haven’t had a decent rant in a while, have I?
Talked about my frustration with the Waterman Atria repair, X4: Foundations which might be my new favorite space trading game – assuming I can ever figure out how to trade – and the Bic pen.
To the YouTube!
I seemed to talk non-stop this morning. Maybe finding a new nib for my Waterman Reflex, cleaning the feed on my Atria/Forum. I talked about spending time in Shackleford House yesterday and how eager I am to get back there today. Haven on Prime Video. Branwen OShea’s Finding Humanity series. And, of course, a greeting to the Willow Sisters.
I was chilly when I started but warmed up. Mostly talked about pens (I love my Waterman Phileas) and my fading infatuation with Fallout 4. Very nice morning for a walk, though. I’ll have to do it more often now that the weather isn’t trying to kill me. At least until it starts trying again.
Let’s hope I’ve got new energy to dive into Autumn and make it work for me. I talked about Zola and pens. Almost exclusively, I think.
