A mostly formless ramble through an icy fog this morning. And the weather was about the same.

Not the year I wanted but the year I got. Good enough.

I talked about the new word of the year along with all the usual reading and game playing stuff.

So was the sky. Talked about K T Hanna’s Library System Reset (again) and X4 (again). Saw crows and sparrows but no geese today.

I took a couple of bonus pictures for Instagram this morning.

Finally got my shoes out on the sidewalk again. Talked a lot about reading, my favorite authors of the year, and the Turkey Trials and Tribulations.

Chilly but not terrible. I talked about recent sample reads and X4. Probably too much about what failed on yesterday’s talk.

It’s finally better. Taking a few days off from squats and walking made a big difference. We’ll see if walking hurts.

Talked about the futility of advertising, geese, an errant bald eagle, and the beautiful morning to be out and about.

I talked about writing first thing again. Mostly I was winded and light headed from the first half of the walk because I’d pushed too hard.

Not really. Mostly just muttered about how cold it was, why habits break me sometimes, and why geese fly in uneven V’s.

I talked a lot about the lessons of Best Exotic Marigold Hotel and why a movie featuring old people appealed so much to this old person.

Also X4 is still a delight and I’m spending too much time finishing up Wandering Inn
