Another week, another blown double digit lead from the Shane Beamer led Gamecock football team. The Gamecocks raced out to a 17 point lead over the #24 Kentucky Wildcats Saturday, but if you are a South Carolina fan, you know that leads like that haven't mattered much in the Shane Beamer era. Will Stein's Kentucky Wildcats went into halftime trailing by 10 before coming out in the second half and getting right back into it. The Gamecocks missed several opportunities to get Kentucky's offense off the field in the third and fourth quarters, and would eventually lose in overtime after the Wildcats walk it off on a 2 point conversion. Shane Beamer's days are clearly numbered and the fan base is more apathetic than anything at the moment. Apathy is starting to creep in for many fans in South Carolina. Four weeks into the season, diehards, students and casuals alike are declaring they are done with this football team, a team in which Shane Beamer promised would be in the College Football Playoff come December.
