Some students prefer to work on class assignments by themselves. Others believe it is better to work in a group. Which do you prefer? Explain why.

I prefer to work on class assignments by myself, because I get distracted very easily in groups. For example, last year, I was in a class where we had to work on a group project for the last assignment of our course. My group had four people. And I realized that every time I met as a group, my mind would wander—the presence of the other people chatting with each other became too much. And I couldn't focus on my own work, or come up with my own thoughts. On the other hand, this year, in one of my classes, I've had the opportunity to work on a project by myself. In that class, I've been able to think clearly and come up with my own thoughts. I've produced a fantastic final paper. It's for that reason that I enjoy working alone.
