On a June night in New Orleans, 1973, hate raged up the steps of a men's bar and consumed thirty-two people. The authorities called it arson. Others said it was God's own hand. No one was ever charged for the crime. Tracking Fire is a documentary film chronicling an unsolved case of arson in a gay men’s bar that resulted in the murder of thirty-two people.
Documentary Filmmaker and award-winning poet, Sheri L. Wright, joins host Michele Mattia to discuss the story of what happened in June 1973 New Orleans, how this film will present a path toward healing, and ways to contribute toward a better awareness for the general public and LGBT communities.
