      • What are we really thinking?
In this week’s episode, we answer “what are men really thinking about?” when women ask us.
Is it something serious? Is it something banal? Is it exactly what women think it is?
        Yes.
We run through the gamut on everything that’s going through men’s minds when we stare off into the distance with a blank look on our faces.
The psychology behind this one interests us because there have been theories about this one for years and most of society seems to think it’s sex. Sure it is. And for much of the rest of society it is too.
When we ask how someone’s REALLY doing, do we REALLY want to know? Or do we just want to make sure that “we’re good”. Discussion of what “we’re good” means ensues and...what exactly would happen if society laid out what was really happening in their minds during business meetings, quick exchanges on the streets or family dinners.
Are you thinking about divorce? Did someone tell you about their child being abused? What other burdens are you bearing day to day that could be lifted just by being honest? We discuss whether we believe conversation partners should have to bear that burden in the first place.
Would we all be better or worse off for it? How would our mental health look if we all became more transparent with one another about how we were really doing and what we were really thinking about at any given point in time.
Would we look at each other differently if we picked our spots to drop the masks and discussed the things we’re actually thinking when people ask, “everything ok?”

      • Stop Asian Hate
The topic today is racism and discrimination against Asian-Americans here in the US.
Prompting the discussion was an Atlanta man committing violent attacks on Asian-Americans at multiple spas in one day. This, in a one year period, where hate crimes against Asian-Americans have been on the rise.
Why would some Asian cultures be more prone to attack here in the US?
How did the coronavirus and the Dr Seuss book “cancellation” week both fit into this?
If you haven’t been hearing about this problem, why not? And what are some possible solutions?

      • Featuring Cohost Wayne McCarty of the "Florida Men on Florida Man" Podcast
        Episode 69...nice.
In-studio representing the Florida Men on Florida Man podcast is Wayne McCarty.
Wayne describes the ingredients that go in the swampy stew that makes Floridians wilder than human beings in any other state.
Speaking of ingredients...Wayne tells of how he and his show mates once followed a stranger down an alley to eat wings out of a crockpot that was promised to be “the best wings he's ever eaten in his life”. Find out if they were.
How The Villages retirement community in Florida is like the movie Cocoon and the colors of scrunchies used to indicate levels of swinging couples were interested in. We don’t kink shame here!
Wayne attends city council meetings and brings the popcorn for the show.
Are flea markets the most American place there is? What gives them such a great vibe?
Wayne tells of the legend of the Ybor City Florida shoe licker and the theories behind why this man licks shoes in the first place. Have you had your shoes licked by this man? Write in and tell us about it
Tragedy Academy loved having Wayne on the show and looks forward to having him and his podcast mates on again.

      • "Artificial Intelligence Deepfakes" Have we gone too far?
The recent Tom Cruise deepfake was awfully convincing.
It has Jay and Eric concerned about what the future holds for artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and technology in general. Are our identities safe at all when our faces and bodies can be manipulated this easily? How will we blend with computers and robots in general in the future?
Terminator, The Matrix and all of the post-apocalyptic movies of our childhood and teens appear to be coming true. How can these things bode well for the future?

      • "Don't Mess With Texas"
The state of Texas is under attack...by ice and snow. So uh...What’s with all the natural disasters, pandemics and other chaos occurring worldwide? Is something/someone trying to tell us something?
While the media is fighting over whether this was caused by green energy or fossil fuels, we’re just interested in what we think is important:
We’re fascinated by how humans behave when their lives and livelihoods are threatened. We discuss how people are both coming together and how societal drifts are showing in Texas and have shown during the pandemic.
Do Domino’s workers deserve a pay raise? How’s about an extra dime for the working man in a time of crisis.
Love to our friends in Texas. We trust you’ll all make it work as you all always do.

      • "Answers to the questions of the universe."
A woman realizes that she’d been walking around with a winning million-dollar lottery ticket for over a month. Discussion of bad ideas and good ideas for what to do with lottery money.
In the bad ideas department, a girl uses gorilla glue in her hair instead of gel and the world pays for the resolution to the problem.
What is the McRib made of? What is red velvet cake made of? How do you get perfect teeth? How can we better join together in a more perfect political union?
The answers to the questions of the universe are answered.
