  • "Maintaining a Solid Smirk"
Any of you in sales? Hey...we are/have been as well. And isn’t everyone in life selling something anyways?
    We have no beef there.
But what we could never stand were those contrived conferences featuring role playing events and presentations and we discuss those in detail. Eric discusses a former co-worker who used to intentionally make stink-face whenever her employees were presenting. Was it a thoughtful attempt to challenge the sales-people to do better? An innocent tendency to cycle one’s face through squinty Grinch-like contortions solely when people are doing their sales presentations and their careers were on the line?
Regardless...it was memorable and we discussed it.
Eric and Jay discuss transgender people. General position: get on with your bad selves. We won’t stand in your way. Much love.

  • "Sad Balloons & Kinky Lampoons"
Friends of the show Sam and Kris are in to discuss the latest and greatest tech toys.
In the meantime, the conversation quickly turns to Martha Stewarts' top kinks. We all know she's a sexy lady under that staid home-maker exterior and all that matters to us is which kinks she's been picking out of thin air for the last 7 decades. Gimps, ball gags, lazy susans, measuring kits, and cake molds are all mixed in. A Martha Stewart and Spencer's partnership is discussed.
Sam is disturbed by the sight of deflated balloons and discussion turns excruciatingly morbid as ideas are bandied about with how balloons could be used at funerals.
    Sam plays harmonica.

  • "Buckskinner's" & Blenders
Friend of the show Tony is in for a Cannabis Cast. He educates us on the details of the best cannabis strains for different personalities, situations and even times of day. Further discussion of how people’s names determine their personalities. Ever had your ass kicked by a guy named Stacy? Considering naming your boy Sue? What’s in a name? Tony tells us the “legend of Uncle Buckskinner”. A real North Carolina man who’s primary vehicle is a BMW and who’s secondary vehicle is a pickup truck with enough room in the bed to store things that start conversations like, “Hey kid...wanna see somethin?”
Listen to this episode to find out what he had back there to show Tony.

  • "Can you pay for a funeral with Bitcoin?"
Hey kids...wanna learn about bitcoin? Want some financial advice? We’re the last guys you’re going to want to talk to about either of these things. But damned if Engineer Chris isn’t going to set us up for failure in a cold react episode on our first...“show and tell” episode (tell and tell for you audio only academics)

  • "Prove it to St. Peter"
While Eric is out this week, Jay and Maria Introduce Chris to the show as our new tech-guy! While we start to talk about Chris’ input into the show, we wind up on a journey through Chris’ topsy-turvy night that landed him on the floor… literally! We move on to a very poignant discussion about how all three of us have had people tell us about great shows that we would probably not watch soon, which then discusses our show-watching positions and preferences. Jay then proceeds to ask Chris and Maria what they would do to prove their spot in heaven to St. Peter. We discuss trips to knock off supermarkets and how Jay has a healthy disdain for market shamers and the lack of receptacles for carrying said supermarket products out to your car.

  • "Jawbreakers & Candy Takers"
There is a lot of teeth- gnashing at Tragedy Academy headquarters when it is discovered that Maria has purchased a device to exercise her jaw. Were there enough weak jawed Glass Joes out there such that this product needed to exist? Maria defends.
Maria recalls receiving candy from strangers in church as a child and thinking nothing of it. Jay and Eric spend 20 minutes dissecting what could have been a perfectly innocent interaction between a kindly old parishioner who just got joy out of dishing out candy to kids...or was he a nefarious old codger with far crueler intentions than an innocent old Maria could have even realized? A new character, Pastor Tony, enters the chat.

  • "Watch the Gap" Wellness Entrepreneur Yael Saint-Armond
Wellness entrepreneur and creator of "Watch the Gap" brand Yael Saint-Armond is in studio with us today.
Yael discusses how growing up in a literal boiler room lead him to become the motivated, high energy and loving person that he is today. We discuss what it was like for his parents to experience a vast societal status drop when they moved from Haiti to America and how they dealt with that. Yael talks about the meaning behind the Watch the Gap brand name and how it translates into his training style & his approach to life. Yael teaches us what it means to have Haitian pride and the differences and commonalities between Haitian and American culture.
Per Yael's brand..."Love your basement, lift your ceiling!"

  • "Rumble on the Red Carpet" When wrestling meets the Oscars...
It’s time to acknowledge what everyone knows but almost nobody is willing to say out loud.
There’s a problem in this country. It’s real. It’s been here for a while. And it’s not going away unless we step up and do something about it.
That problem is, you guessed it...
It’s time for a drastic overhaul of awards ceremonies, especially the Oscars.
And as we proved in our wildly successful episode 56, it’s our out of the box thinking that can bring groups of people together in unexpected ways.
Does this sound like an early 90s sitcom? Well it isn’t. (Although we will fight anyone that says Alf doesn’t hold up.)
    Speaking of fights...
Our idea combines the existing awards ceremony with a March Madness style elimination format while mixing in the edge and live entertainment of the WWE “attitude era”.
Do you like makeup and the red carpet? Fine. We still have it. Do you like pre fight smack talk promo videos? We have them in spades. Bring back The Rock as a crossover, make Meryl Streep a “heel” and turn Ryan Gosling into a “face”.
Would you watch your favorite actors, actresses, animators, best boys and grips face off in live interpretations of movie scenes? Sure you would. Would you enjoy seeing Kate Hudson actually attack that Julia Roberts lookalike brown haired girl whose name I cant remember from all the love movies on the red carpet? Sure you would. There was already a movie that happened in that presumably did pretty well.
Check out this episode for our NCAA, WWE, Oscar mashup. You might regret it, but you probably can’t sue us or anything.

  • "The Exchanging of the Rings" A revised NFL Superbowl ring exchange proposal.
Wait til you hear about our NFL ring ceremony concept...
Jonah is back in from his Fresh year of college and contributes in a big way. Maria can best be described as mildly bemused and tolerant as the guys propose the following:
    1) What would you do if you had the Stanley Cup for a day?
    2) A total reimagining of the NFL Super Bowl ring ceremony. What if NFL Super Bowl rings were turned over every year like the Stanley Cup? 50 yard line, previous winners line up across from new winners and (Benny Hill theme starts playing) each player has to find another one to wear his ring.
