A diet is another word for "Nutritional restriction to accomplish a specific health or physique goal". Key word - restriction. A huge reason why the USA is the most obese country is because we don't understand food. We don't understand health. We don't understand control & awareness. Your body needs very little to survive, but with this very little, it's also very important to consume the things your body claims as "essential". Essential things for our body's are: Protein, Carbs, fats, vitamins & minerals, sleep, movement, and hydration. Out of all these essentials, for some reason we get so caught up on the C word......CARBS!
Carbs come in many different shapes & forms. One thing I can promise you is this: 1g of carbohydrates is 4 calories and that's all your body will view a carb. Yes they're are simple & complex carbs, but let's not even get into that. When it comes down to giving your body what it needs to achieve weight loss, muscle growth, ect, your body will only see the food you eat as" protein, carbs, and fats. Pizza is carbs, protein, and fat. Burgers with fries are carbs, protein, and fat. Our body is like a computer. A computer creates programs with codes, and our bodies create progress with macros. Stop restrictions and start living!
