From a history of child abuse to someone who has won 6 Emmys as a TV producer and was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize.  She created The Apology which has influenced people all over the world.  She created Project Forgive to help people understand what forgiveness can do for them and that it is a continuing process not a one time thing.

Going from being in the car with her Dad driving to vote and seeing him shot, putting out fires from crosses being burned at the end of their driveway, Cleo Scott Brown, got an education and went to work for a big company.  She was the only female, person of color in the executive suite.
When they executives went to a meeting and after went to look at BMW cars, Cleo, who was in the market for a car for her son, realized that she couldn't buy him one because as a young black male he would be at risk of being stopped.
Putting all of this together Cleo wrote some powerful books to wake people up and started History Matters Institute and now travels all over the country helping people understand what really went on and is still going on for the African-American community.

When Katie was a teacher in a poorer area she found out that her students never owned a bike, something she loved from her own childhood. And, for these children, the bike was a means of escape from an abusive home and a chance to see friends for support and a chance to experience joy in an otherwise dismal world.
 She contacted a bike manufacturer, did social media and got invited on all major news networks and the Steve Harvey Show.  Going Places was off and running and now every year there is a new bike with cool colors and a cooler name.

Steven Sedylmayr is a serial entrepreneur with many patents under his belt.  But when he went to buy a water filter for his family he realized that while pure water is necessary it's in short supply.  Bottled water was often not pure and the filtration systems didn't do what they were supposed.  He developed a system that gives water that is 100% free of contaminants, this based on results from several independent laboratories.  Divinia Water is the only one so far to fit into that category.  He has now developed water purification systems that can be used by cities and states so people have contaminant free water.
His gave up a lot to do this and you will be inspired by everything he had to overcome.

Abeer Seikaly, is an architect living in Jordan. She has designed portable huts woven of natural wool which keeps out rain, wind, sand and keeps the temperature constant.  to make sure these huts would work, Abeer took one to Mt. Everest and spent a night which proved there would work they way they were designed.  The designs are being reviewed and produced to help the huge refugee population in the area.

Marshall Saunders took what he learned through micro-lending to poor countries and lobbying for changes to create something that touched him deeply- Climate Change.  He created The Citizen's Climate Lobby now all over the world and calling attention to that crisis to our government and our corporations and businesses.
Since this interview Marshall has passed on but his work is still going on.

Even at 4 years old Saniya-Simone wanted to do things way beyond her hears. She then asked her mom if she could help her write a book.  Now at 13, Saniya has a clothing business, a jewelry business, a foundation where she travels all over the world to help other girls and young women know their worth and also start their own businesses. By the way, none of this is coming from her mother who is her helper.  It's all Saniya-Simone.

Julian Starks, photographer and documentary filmmaker, became aware of the fact that wild animals are facing extinction. It touched him deeply and he created Visions of the World to bring attention to their plight.  His new book "Life Behind Bars" is soon to be released is filled with riveting and beautiful photos of the wild animals that will take your breath away.

Ateba came from an abusive and poverty-stricken background but went on to get several degrees including a Ph. D from John Hopkins. She created Shoe Revolt where she go celebrities like Sarah Jessica Parker to donate shoes to auction off raising money to save children from sexual trafficking.
Her not for profit, Unreasonable Kids, is teach kids 7-17 how to be social entrepreneurs. There's so much more.  Watch and be amazed!

Pivot helps young people ages 12-24 with housing, counseling, food, staying in school, job training and everything any one of them needs.  They have a peer teen group which also works with them.  Their point of view is when a young person acts out they don't need punishment, they need empowerment and a place to learn skills which is working so well that participants who have been helped stay in touch and keep the team updated. Pivot has even gone as far as making sure kids know how to contact them by having stores, libraries, fire departments, police, churches, etc. know about their programs. Plus they keep expanding and offering new kinds of support.
