Anders Trentemøller started playing in bands in Copenhagen in the early '90s before moving into club music a few years later. But ever since he started releasing albums as Trentemøller in 2006 he has in some ways merged those two worlds, incorporating samplers and electronic beats with full instruments and a more cinematic, dreamy sound.

We talk about that evolution in this interview, as well as Anders’ new album 'Memoria', his upbringing in Denmark, the massive impact bands like The Cure and Portishead had on him, his memories of working and touring with Depeche Mode, and much more.
