True Crime Guys

“The Jenny Jones Show” was one of many daytime talk show hosts in the 90's that had viewers tuning in daily to see people spill their secrets, crazy lives of rowdy teenagers, parenthood tests, makeovers, and pretty much any drama in between. The Jenny Jones Show Murder occurred in 1995, three days after an episode about “secret admirers” where Scott Amedure professed his crush on Jonathan Schmitz.  Everything seemed fine at first but Jonathan was a time bomb waiting to explode.

This has got to be one of our funniest Headlines to date, we had too much fun making this one! We kick it off with a woman who was hit in the face by a bird at Sea World! Then a man who swallowed a $35,000 egg pendant necklace, yikes, but he's still having a better day then the guy who was found dead in the back seat of his own car, which had been towed TWICE, before anyone noticed. Then we round things out with a fraud scheme that would make Mrs Doubtfire proud.

This week we got some updates on the Louvre Heist, mainly the suspects in custody...do yourself a favor and google those guys. Also a credible Bigfoot sighting in Pennsylvania, with at least 3 people's testimonies, so pretty much a sure thing. Then we talk a German nurse who killed his patients so he wouldn't have to care for them anymore, and a man who missed the bus, so he stole a bus.

In June of 1959, in the quiet town of Stettler, Alberta. Raymond and Daisy Cook along with their five young children were found brutally murdered. Their bodies stuffed into a grease pit beneath their own garage.  But the shocking part was who police believed committed the crime. Despite no hard evidence, police arrested Raymond Cook's eldest son from a previous marriage, Robert Cook.

He was charged with the murders and sentenced to death, becoming the last man ever executed in Alberta. Was Robert Cook truly guilty or was an innocent man sent to the gallows?  This is the story of the Cook family murders.
