DESCRIPTION:
Karl Denke was the most beloved man in Münsterberg. He carried the cross at church processions, played the organ, gave money to the poor, and offered food and shelter to homeless travelers. They called him "Papa Denke." He was also a cannibal who murdered at least 31 people over two decades and sold their flesh as pickled pork at the Breslau market. He kept a ledger recording each victim's name, date, and "slaughter weight." His crimes went undetected until December 1924, when a drifter named Vincenz Olivier survived an axe attack and alerted authorities. Denke hanged himself in his cell before interrogation. Police found jars of pickled human flesh, 351 human teeth, and belts and suspenders made from human skin. Listen if you dare.
