Hola, Unfolding Community! How often do you find yourself experiencing “What’s Next Syndrome?” That relentless inner desire to become, do, experience, or see what’s next. We all need to feel some sense of purpose, have goals, as well as identify things to look forward to in life. When this is taken too far, however, and we’re constantly seeking the next high, or pushing our self-growth, we can easily overlook the power (and contentment) that comes from stillness. There’s value in pausing, intentionally remaining still, and finding peace in even the most mundane activities and moments.

What kind of language do you use when you talk about the challenges in your life story, both to other people and in your own thoughts? Do you speak about your life story as spiritual teacher Iyanla Vanzant says, “in an empowering way?” Don’t skim over actually feeling and working through the difficult times. We also don’t want to, however, set up shop in that space forever. As we move forward, what’s at least one positive thing that we can choose to identify is a direct result of that experience? Well, we survived and we can also choose to view ourselves in a resilient light. If you’re not ultimately the heroine/hero in your life story, then who is? -Instagram:@trueunfolding
Happy Lunar New Year 2023 to you, Unfolding Community! This episode is dedicated to all of the GIVERS in this world. Those who have a tendency to serve others first and place themselves last on the daily to-do list. Give yourself permission to be #1 in your life sometimes–without guilt. Also, do you really know who you are beyond the job titles and other roles that you take on (e.g., caregiver, parent)? Now’s a great time to start discovering who you are, along with staying true to yourself regardless of whether others approve of you or not. If they don’t approve? B-Y-E. -Instagram: @trueunfolding

This episode is short AND sweet! We can all benefit from having more tools to help navigate our everyday challenges. When I first thought about addressing challenges, my mind immediately went to Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). Take a listen since I’ve highlighted a few key SFBT principles that can be effective in helping you move forward. -Instagram: @trueunfolding
Oh my–it has been a minute since the last episode! Fear not, Unfolding Community, because there are some gems in this one. I was so inspired by the idea of having the courage to challenge “Small Town Thinking.” Modern society provides many of us the privilege to mold our lives into how we see fit. This isn't necessarily in alignment, however, with what we truly desire deep down. It’s not always easy to pursue our authentically best lives, and it’s sometimes even downright intimidating. But don’t we also deserve to at least consider and explore what that lifestyle could be? Answer: Yes, we do. -Instagram: @trueunfolding
Oh hello! How often do you notice or pay attention to colors in your daily life? From the color of the mug you drink from every morning to the hue of your favorite sweater–what do you see? How do those colors make you feel? Are you drawn towards any specific color(s) and are there any that boost your mood? I encourage you to take note of what colors you like because even taking small, intentional actions to infuse colors that you enjoy can make a typical day a bit more joyful. And we can all benefit from experiencing more joyful, mindful moments on the regular. -Instagram: @trueunfolding
Hiiiii. Hello. Hola, Unfolding Community. Are you ready to get unstuck in your life? Are you also open to embracing a new way to view life? If you’re like me, maybe you were fixated on one specific vision or outcome that you desired (for a long time). I absolutely encourage you to stay true to you, boo. Keep your dreams, desires, goals, and values clear in your mind and heart. Maybe, however, there’s also more than ONE ideal option for what you desire and what your life could be. Listen in and stay open to the wondrous different possibilities in your lives, friends. -Instagram: @trueunfolding
