In his latest power grab, Trump has given himself the power to remove the heads of independent agencies despite longstanding precedent that says he can't do that (what's new, I guess). This will put the power to regulate major companies and protect consumer and worker safety into the hands of Trump loyalists hellbent on dismantling the entire government and removing regulations in favor of monied interests. And he's put Russell Vought, a key architect of Project 2025, at the head of all of it.
