In this video I introduce the Hussites, the Bohemian Reformers inspired by Jan Hus, drawing from the 15th century Hussite historian Laurence of Brezona. I give an overview of how they were persecuted and then explore the theological reforms they initiated, particularly focusing on their theology of the Eucharist. I conclude with one cautionary lesson for Protestants today.

One of the most controversial topics in our culture is justice. In the  church, issues related to justice have been divisive and fracturing.  Here I propose several ways we can learn about what it means to stand up  for justice from the early church father Gregory of Nyssa, particularly  his opposition to slavery.

It is commonly claimed that the Christianization of Scandinavia in the  10th and 11th centuries was just a matter of politics. In this video I draw from Adam of Bremen, a medieval historian, to show how many  missionaries and martyrs played a role in the spread of Christianity  into Northern Europe.
