My son Jeremy is studying British history, and is currently reading about the Covenanters and King Charles I. He asked if I could pop over this question: "Dear Jeff, I am learning a bit about our world governments at school. Recently we learned about the Scots who resisted King Charles the first. They were called the covenanters. One of the things they did was draw up a treaty for the nation to covenant with God. It reminded me of one of your episodes where you talked about how the government is God's servant. I wondered if this was even truly necessary? Why should a nation have to make a covenant with God in the first place if all rulers are God's servants? Ps. Thanks for the show. I listen to them while I do my after school chores on Fridays."

Judy from Colorado Springs, Colorado, writes: Okay, this was a deep dive. She's referring to the latest dicta that went out on natural law, and this is one dicta I'm going to have to go back to think about.
"Is natural law another alternative to the word of God and apologetic discourse so as not to come off as Bible thumpy? Where does one look to read more about the various laws of natural law?"
