Welcome back to another episode of Trve. Cvlt. Pop! the music podcast.
On this weeks show, Gaz takes part in a wonderful game of "Guess the Album by the One Star Review on Amazon or Rateyourmusic.com"... we simply must get a snappier title than that.
We've got 20 classic albums from the indie genre, we've got 20 reviews of said album from people who really didn't like those albums. Can Gaz guess what the classic record is from the often bizarre ramblings of people with poor taste in music?
We also chat about Bjork hating Spotify, BMTH making Oasis' worst song 500 worse and there's a lost banger from the man who brought you The Golden Girls theme tune.
Welcome back to another episode of Trve. Cvlt. Pop! we've got a big one on this weeks show as we are joined by Jimi, Dazz and Defa from the sublime Bangers & Mosh podcast to talk about one of the most iconic record labels in history; Roadrunner Records.
As a full blown metal institution , RR has released some of the biggest names and most classic albums in heavy music history. In this first part of our deep dive into their catalogue we discuss what is the best album to start with, the best release of both the 80's and the 90's, the clanger to avoid and the underrated gem in their discography.

Welcome back to another episode of Trve. Cvlt. Pop! and we're starting the year off with a moan and a rant... well, quite a few of them actually.
We go back to our A-Z of Atrocities list and give you the letters Q, R, S and T. Expect some stern words on rom-com creators, Star Wars fans, phoned in comeback albums, crap interviews and a certain funk rock band... whoever could they be?
Hello friends! It's the triumphant return of Trve. Cvlt. Pop! in 2025. On this week's we look back at some of the albums that we managed to not cover in the last 12 months that we really wish we had have done. Expect apologies and thumbs up for 2024 releases from Michael Kiwanuka, B. Dolan, Wunderhorse, Japandroids, Hidden Mothers, Nilufer Yanya, TV Girl, Bubble Love and Fulci.
Plus, we remember a long lost classic from the disco comeback era of 1993 with Ain't No Love (Ain't No Use) by Sub Sub and Melanie Williams.
Hello and thank you for joining us on the last Trve. Cvlt. Pop! of 2024. On this weeks show we finish off for the year by counting down out top 10 favourite albums of the what has been an exceptional 12 months in music.
Thank you for listening and, hopefully, enjoying us this year. See you in 2025.
Hello, welcome to another episode of Trve. Cvlt. Pop!, a music podcast.
On this week's show we begin to countdown our favourite albums of 2024. It's been a banner year, a classic 12 months, and it's reflected in the outstanding quality of records that haven't even made it into our top 10 of the year. Steve and Gaz go from numbers 20-11, and there are some BIG hitters in there.
There's also a brief bit of chat about some recent gigs; Confidence Man, Headswim and the big celebratory tribute to the late, great Mark Lanegan on what would have been his 60th birthday.
Well, it's that time of the year isn't it, where we here at Trve. Cvlt. Pop! Towers start to look back on the year just gone and rate all the best and worst things about it.
On this weeks show Steve and Gaz name their favourite song, EP, gig, reissue, festival, film, biggest disappointment and hero of the past 12 months.
We're also joined by Sam and Alasdair for a bit as well, as they run through their 5 best albums of 2024.
Welcome back to another episode of Trve. Cvlt. Pop!, glad you could join us for another deep dive into pop culture and all that.
On this week's show we are getting slightly ahead of ourselves, by looking at the very best releases from the month of November... even though November hasn't actually ended yet. We have our reasons! What a month it's been! We look at new music from The Cure, Poppy, Primal Scream, Gwen Stefani, Silver Sun, Freddie Gibbs, Killa P & Numa Crew and go in as deep as we humanly can on the shock new album from Kendrick Lamar.
There's also a report from the recent London banger of a show by Joey Valence & Brae and a Lvst. Cvlt. Pop! from Sabrina Johnson, with some really rather excellent school yard lyric changes.
Hey you! You're about to listen to another GREAT episode of Trve. Cvlt. Pop! WELL DONE! On this weeks show we do basically the opposite of what Gaz used to do on his old podcast Track One, Side One and, instead of picking a bunch of opening tracks from albums, we pick some of our favourite closing tracks from some of our fave albums.
There's plenty of good stuff from the world of funk, stoner rock, college rock, soul, goth-punk and much more.
Plus we pay tribute to former Kerrang! magazine editor, NME man and friend of the show James McMahon, there's talk from the recent Therpy? London show and we talk A LOT about Jimmy Nail... no, Jimmy we're not lying!
Welcome to another episode of Trve. Cvlt. Pop! a music podcast. On this week's show, Gaz is stuck and away from the mic, so we've got Dave Fensome of the excellent Pop Collaborate and Listen Podcast to step into his shoes.
We talk about recent shows from Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds and Sepultura, the announcement of the Download Festival 2025 and add three more genres to our Mount Rushmore of music. Picking the four definitive acts from the world of Groove Metal, New Jack Swing and the best MC's from the Golden Age of Hip Hop.
