"God does not play dice with the universe."
-Albert Einstein
Grab some coffee and be ready to go deep on this conversation today! I am excited to welcome The Anomaly Architect, Troy McTeer, to the T&T mic! Troy is the secret weapon to the world's most successful entrepreneurs and ultra-high performing individuals consumed with intense pressure to perform at the highest level. He works exclusively with anomalistic industry leaders - illuminating the illusion of their minds to destroy the addiction of mediocrity and conformity - leading them to achieve extreme Mental & Emotional Prowess by unlocking their unique master sovereignty. Tory is known for his unconventional techniques to help his clients see real results in a streamlined fashion. Today we are going to talk about Troy's personal journey and how it led him to his own mental prowess and in turn developed his coaching practice. We cover the universe, core values, breakdowns and breakthroughs, and how all is right on time. Some people call it woo woo, some quantum physics, but we all know one thing: energy is everything. Lean into get your mind, thoughts, and your own personal prowess right so you can challenge conformity and live in your authentic truth.
Highlights:
Truth. Challenging conformity. Influencers and marketing. Bread downs, breakthroughs, choosing greatness. Leveling up and leveling out. Being an anomaly. Energy, however you brand it. Questioning a better way and working to live in alignment.
Troy McTeer:
From a very young age, Troy defied "the norm", as his rebellious spirit sought out a life on the edge. He left a career in Accounting to explore the world of professional poker for 6 years, where he began to understand and master the power of extreme mental, emotional and psychological clarity. After leaving poker, he implemented his newly found skills in a corporate real estate career. Troy excelled in real estate but it was empty. He was conforming to a narrative that he was told, by society, would make him successful. He found himself navigating depression and suicidal ideation after living a lie trying to conform to society's expectations of him. After being told he would be on medication his whole life, he harnessed the power of his mind to rid himself of all medication - after only 10 months - shattering the paradigm of mental health to achieve a state of extreme Mental Prowess.
There is NOTHNG to gain from colouring inside the lines, except for living a painfully slow death. His philosophy purposefully confronts his clients with their physical mortality - to ignite their very deep desire to live a life free from the madding mediocrity created by the illusion of fear. Extreme Mental Prowess can only be activated once you take noble responsibility for who you are in this world and cure the cancer of victim mentality. Troy does not believe in "normal" linear systems. Who said life had to be linear? When in Troy's presence you will become The Master of Mental & Emotional Prowess. In his world, miracles are expected and the only "norm" there is. You are the Anomaly. Your whole life you have been the outlier, pushing boundaries, pushing yourself, creating extraordinary results - results that others could never even dream of. You have been labelled "crazy", "mad", "unrealistic" and, over time - unknowingly, dulled your self-expression, creativity and genius in a futile attempt to appear "normal" in the eyes of the mediocre people littered in your life. Your massive vision for your business, your life and yourself sends shockwaves of discomfort down people's spines forcing you to dumb down your desires - to "fit in". This has led to a lack of energy, escapism, weakening willpower, burnout, self-doubt and a life absent of "time". Why? Because you lack the one thing that an Anomaly requires - Mental Prowess. The new paradigm is here - Mental Prowess: Sangfroid - Unflappable Resourcefulness Under Pressure, Noble Personal Responsibility, Brutal Honesty with Yourself, Unwavering Self-Belief and the Ownership of your Anomalistic Power. I am able to see your Mental Prowess hidden deep in your psyche, point it out, unlock it, expand it and deliver it to you - rapidly. I am leading the revolution into extreme Mental Prowess by showing the world's most successful executives, entrepreneurs and ultra-high performing individuals - consumed with intense pressure to perform at the highest level - how to achieve Mental Prowess. Your technical know-how and unquestionable intelligence have got you this far - the only limitation now is your lack of Mental Prowess. Your brilliant psyche is complex, with many moving cogs, yet the tiniest speck of dust can easily bring it to a halt. I will calmly point out that speck and gently blow it away leaving you empowered with extreme Mental Prowess. You have been thinking small - even though you don't think so - you have been thinking way too small. It is time to think bigger & bolder, "crazier" & "madder" and even more "unrealistic" than ever before because you are the Anomaly and your vision will never be dumbed down for anyone or anything…ever again. Mental Prowess is rare and only for those who have the courage to own their power, stand in it and create from It. Mental Prowess is how the "impossible" becomes reality - every time.

"The science shows that the secret to high performance isn't our biological drive or our reward-and-punishment drive, but our third drive - our deep-seated desire to direct our own lives, to extend and expand our abilities, and to make a contribution."

Life and leadership coaching. Leading with the heart vs. the resume. Trial and error. Failure and success. Core values and your personal journey. All things being on time. God, universe, Madonna… and expensive studies that prove we were right. Smart people finding even smarter people. Leading with the heart and humanizing the brand aka telling the truth. Being yourself and not over complicating it. But you probably will, so call Carol.
Carol Fabrizo:
I am a mom, leader, coach, speaker, strategist, advocate and athlete.
My mission is to help individuals and organizations consciously decide who they want to become and then help them design the process to make that transformation happen.
I deeply value courage, learning, leadership and joy - which is exactly what it takes to step into a new way of leading, a new career, or a new life.
You can change how you lead.
You can change your life.
I can help.
About:
I've made a lot of moves.
I was raised in small town Illinois, educated in big city Los Angeles (go Trojans), marinated in Denver, and am now settling down back in the Midwest (Indianapolis) with my Olympian wife and toddler son.
I have been a Big Law lawyer, in-house counsel in a public company, a CEO's Chief of Staff, and the Chief Communications and Marketing Officer for a high-profile sports organization.
I have gone from being an individual contributor to being a leader, a facilitator, an executive, and now a coach.
I have become a wife and a mom.
I have come out (as gay), over and over again, to every new person I meet.
Every one of these transitions came out of some sticking point, a struggle between who I thought I was and who I wanted to become.
And for a long while, I dreaded that process - the questioning, the confusion, the pain of the in between. I knew it was necessary for growth, but I certainly did not enjoy it.
But then I started to see that there is beauty and opportunity in that liminal space. Every struggle and every transition - even (maybe especially) the painful ones - provides an opportunity to connect to who you are now and redefine who you want to become.
That is why I do this work now: to help individuals and organizations see that opportunity and the freedom that comes with those transitions; to help them consciously decide who and what they want to become; and to help them make the transformations necessary to get there.

"We are living in a world today where lemonade is made from artificial flavors and furniture polish is made from real lemons."
-Alfred Newman
I am so excited about this- graceful disruptors in the CPG (consumer packaged goods) space!! You know I love my REAL natural CPG's, but they are oh-so-hard to come by! When I saw this product, I knew I had to have a conversation with them and luckily, I happen to know someone directly in the mix. Sparkling water has been all the rage over the past 5+ years, with many debates around the "natural" flavoring. Yes, most of them are calorie free and the ingredients usually say, sparkling water and natural flavoring- not telling us much. The term "natural flavoring" can mean a lot and there are a lot of shades of grey here. Jump in on this convo to hear from Ted Grant, Co-Founder of Viveau, a sparkling mineral water with REAL ingredients. Ted is a longtime entrepreneur, Michelin-Star Chef, and Dad… in the pursuit of real, good, food. Ted shares his journey, passion, and expertise around seeking real ingredients and the new age process of leading with the heart (instead of chasing profitable margins). The consumer is evolving and so are SOME businesses around us, Ted and Viveau are excellent examples of disruptors "questioning a better way", living by it, and reaping the rewards from it. If you are an entrepreneur, foodie, chef, or anyone looking to change up the traditional ways of business/living, this one's for you. Enjoy!
Highlights:
Graceful disruption. Sparking water and natural flavors not being so natural. Passion over paycheck, that leads to a paycheck. Building the right team and creating the right culture aka… The vibe attracts the tribe. Being in alignment with your personal and professional life. Grassroots to boardroom. Creative marketing strategy and evolution. Strategic partnerships. Health, wealth, and balance. Maybe a good cocktail recipe or two… :)
Viveau:
Creating Viveau has always been about accelerating a real food movement for people and planet. That's why every ingredient comes from the earth, not the lab. No sugar added and no hard-to-pronounce chemicals or so-called "natural flavours". Just real ingredients for a beverage that's really refreshing.
A tale of two visionaries:
One day at a vineyard in Annapolis Valley, Nova Scotia, two guys named Ted and Hanspeter were complaining they couldn't find any sparkling waters that used real ingredients. Instead, it seemed the industry was saturated with beverages filled with sugar, artificial preservatives, and "natural flavours"— which could mean anything from chemical additives to derived flavouring constituents.
As champions of the real food movement — with real lifetime expertise in the food and beverage world — Ted and Hanspeter became determined to challenge the lack of truth and transparency in the marketplace. It was time to create the first Canadian-made sparkling water made with actual honest-to-goodness real fruit and the safest, highest-quality water possible.
The Founders:
Ted Grant, The Michelin-Star Chef Chef, gastronomy guru, and food product developer, Ted has worked on five continents supporting a variety of businesses and educational institutions with his vision, enthusiasm, and devoted work ethic. Hanspeter Stutz, The Trailblazer A pioneer in the Canadian wine and cider landscape, Hanspeter is the founder of the renowned Grand Pré Winery. He brings an unparalleled enthusiasm to every project and every product he creates.

"Good health IS good business" -Paul Drechsler (CEO, Wates Group Limited)
I am excited to welcome Laura Timbrook to the T&T mic! Laura is a national board-certified health and wellness coach, international speaker, fellow podcasters, and well-being strategist for the manufacturing industry. Health and wellness in the corporate environment has never been more important than it is right now. We not only need to feel safe at work #covid, but ideally, we WANT to actually be there. The old school way of leading by authority and grinding out 40+ hours a week regardless if you are passionate about your work or not- no longer suffices. We spend so much time at work and with our fellow employees- most likely building someone else's dream (even if you love it), it's critical that employers (or any situation leading people) foster a whole human, welcoming environment, meaning that wellness and welling being come first for the team and community at large. Dialing into corporate wellness can not only build moral and retain employees longer, it can also make employees more productive, happier at work, and less likely to take additional sick days off. If you are a business owner, coach, parent, or leader in any capacity, this is the convo for you! Facilitate an environment of well-being and you will reap the world in so many ways, including your pocketbook. You might even be doing more correctly than you think and/or it could be small steps of changes that kick off a world of positive change. Get healthy, take change, and enjoy life… it's that simple:)
Highlights:
Corporate wellness. Well-being strategy. Business and health and the pay off? Manufacturing and shirt worker industries. Mastering our mindset and shifting perspectives. Small steps to big change. Positivity approaching change and embracing the successes you are already doing. Balance and not taking away our beer. Life skills through work change. The younger generation and the corporate world. Gracefully disrupting the health and wellness approach and industries.

"Energy cannot be created or destroyed, it can only be changed from one form to another."
– Albert Einstein
I felt compelled to chat on this topic today- lots going on in life, so let's discuss! Entitlement is a funny thing… in fact it's an imaginary one, because when it comes down to it, we are not entitled to a damn thing at the end of the day. Let's be clear, I am not talking human rights or social issues in general, I am talking about day to day, family, friend, work, relationships- life stuff. Society has set out a list of ideals for us that "we should do" or "should expect", but we are here to gracefully disrupt those sold realities and dial back into our own awareness of what we do and do not need. Maybe you need up your protection of your own energy OR perhaps this is reminder not to unnecessary unload or expect something that is not entitled to you. Life ebbs and flows, we have all been on both sides of the coin, the magic happens in the shift back to center. On this cast I dig into personal responsibly and why it's important to protect your energy. Specifically, we discuss 15 ways to protect that energy from MindFool.com and 5 specific ways to protect your energy if you are an empath from Dr. Judith Orloff, UCLA Psychiatric Clinical Faculty. I have coached, managed, hired, and lead hundreds of humans and there is one thing I know FOR SURE: you have to meet people where they are at. Worry about what you can control and show up as your best self, everything else is on the individual. Be mindful of what you give and of what you take- the more awareness we can create the better it is for everyone. I hope my lessons can streamline some learnings in your life!

"Creativity is a wild mind and a disciplined eye."

I am so excited for this conversation!! I am welcoming Colorado native and longtime LAX homie turned full time artist, Cora Sexton Wheeler, to the T&T mic! I have known Cora for over 20 years and I never even knew she was this amazing artist, so I too, was pumped to hear her journey from D1 athlete, to dental school, to becoming a mom, and then taking art on full time. Little did I know that the creative energy was there all along- like myself ha (lax and beer was a enough to keep us friends this long- obvi). Cora's shares her process and how each piece of that journey had to unfold in its own time only to compliment the art and inspiration oh-so-perfectly now. She even uses dental tools for some of her creations! The universe does not play. I love highlighting T&T creatives because I firmly believe that creativity in any form unites us and from there we can open to heavier covno and ideally a united world… #LongTermGoals folks. If you are a budding artist or someone like Cora that has had it all along, this is an awesome cast for you to be inspired to fuel that creative heart and potentially take it on full time when the time if right. You never know where the destination truly lands, but you might as well as paint the path the color you want along the way:)

Maturing priorities and recognizing what you really give a shit about.
Cora Sexton Wheeler:
FINE WESTERN ART
About The Art
The goal of my art is to engage viewers through multiple sensory outlets, primarily visual and tactile. The saturated colors are playful, inviting and warm. The palette, along with the heavy texture, encourages a closer look and even a touch.
My body of work is heavily influenced by my heritage and upbringing in both the city and on a ranch in Durango, Colorado. I have always loved to create and work with my hands. Over the years I have used a myriad of tools and instruments to sculpt my art. I focus on capturing the details in everything from vast mountain range landscapes to tiny meticulous flowers. The paintings tell a story that reflects American history, especially in the West.
Every piece starts with a sketch on canvas and is followed by sculpting of the image with white lightweight spackle. Then, multiple acrylic color washes are applied to the layers and fine details are painted in. Paintings are completed with either a high gloss resin or varnished with a matte finish. The pieces are sculptures on canvas with the depth adding structure and interest.
My work continues to grow and change in both the size and subject matter, always with a western nod and appreciation for my native Colorado upbringing and American Indian ancestors.
I am honored to donate a portion of the proceeds from all headdress pieces to a non-profit that supports American Indian children and families in the Denver metropolitan area.

"Reality is nothing more than applied meaning."
-Me... and a bunch of notable philosophers that know way more than me:)
I have been asked MANY TIMES why I say "varsity" and what does it mean? SO we are going to unpack my labeling of varsity vs. jv and what it means to me. I am not sure where it really started, but it just kept going as an easy, time effective way to be conscious of varsity moments and JV ones. Meaning that a "varsity" state is not permanent. We all have JV moments, moments where we know we could have done better, knowing that within that JV moment there is a lesson offering an opportunity to level up.
A varsity state of mind or a varsity human are 3 main things:
- Self-aware
- Accountable
- Constantly Evolving
This really breaks down to internal thoughts and how I consciously (or unconsciously) work to (gracefully) disrupt my own internal monologue, aka work to maintain varsity status as much as I can. I found an amazing article from Huffpost Contributor, Judith Johnson, "Do You Know HOw Powerful Your Thoughts Are", that breaks it all down . Judith breaks down in a simple, digestible way. She shares the science, the importance, and the solution to get your mind right, present, and authentic. It's not easy or constant, but it's doable and necessary if you seek a varsity way of life:).

Highlights:
Varsity vs. JV. Autopilot vs. Authenticity. internal monologue and creating the reality you want. Graceful Disruption. Mindset and attitude. Operating in alignment and letting go of the past. Creating a story and how it's poison. A new mindset, a new way of living.

"Our economic system is like the air. We aren't always conscious of it, but it touches virtually every aspect of our lives."
-LaKay Schmidt, Economic Literacy Colorado's Founding President
Get your money right- right now! I am so excited for this conversation with Ryan Harris, Super Bowl Champion and Board Member of The Economic Literacy of Colorado (EconLitCo). We discuss money: saving, spending, and lifestyle. All things start with the right mindset and who you surround yourself with- football AND financials. Ryan shares his journey and why is passionate about financial literacy particularly with our youth. He shares his view on gracefully disrupting the current school curriculum and adding financial training to the mix, including educating the educators so the impact and lessons continue to carry on. Bill Tortorici, Chief Philanthropy Officer of EconLitCo, adds, "financial literacy/education is not mandated within the Colorado Education System. This is the real crux of the issue. Lack of access to this information is unacceptable for everyone and it certainly exacerbates existing social inequities. There are only a handful of states that make this particular topic a priority."
Equality is a big topic on T&T, as you know, and money is a major divider. Many of us were not taught how to save, invest, or aim for long-term wealth. The learning starts now! Get your money right and gain freedom- personally, professionally, spiritually. Play the game (on and off the field) with honor, don't let the game play you. Thank you, Bill and Ryan, for the time, energy, and passion behind this important conversation. You are both true winners and I am inspired by your all-around daily actions… #InfluencersIRL :)
Highlights:
Economic Literacy. Disrupting the current education system. Money, wealth, power. Equality and the financial divide. Kids and money, adults and money. How to get financially literate now. How to get loser out of your life. You are your friends, get dream supporters around you. Mindset and mentality. Being a winner.
Ryan Harris:
Super Bowl Champion, Keynote speaker, and Bestselling author Ryan Harris inspires audiences across the nation by incorporating lessons learned in success and failure throughout his 10-year NFL Career.
In 2015, Ryan became a Super Bowl Champion after winning Super Bowl 50 with the Denver Broncos and has also played for the Houston Texans, Kansas City Chiefs and Pittsburgh Steelers before retiring in 2016.
Beyond the field, Ryan has continued to work to win. Whether in real estate, investing, Startups, and non-profit's, Ryan now aims to make an impact in Denver and Beyond.
With these efforts, Ryan was awarded Colorado sportscaster of the year in 2020 and named to Denver Business Journal's 40 under 40 class of 2021.
These days you can catch Ryan as the radio analyst on Notre Dame Football games and NFL radio Broadcasts, as well as his weekday sports talk show in Denver on 92.5 FM's 'Harris Hastings and Dover.
Economic Literacy Colorado:
Economic Literacy Colorado (EconLitCo) was established in 1971 when Governor John Love foresaw the need to better educate students for successful participation in the economy. In 1976, EconLitCo began offering classes to teachers and in 1980 developed a partnership with University of Colorado – Colorado Springs (UCCS) to provide continuing education accredited classes for K-12 teachers that are taught by UCCS or UCCS-approved professors. EconLitCo is the only Colorado nonprofit dedicated to year-round economic and personal financial literacy (PFL) professional development for thousands of K-12 teachers and impacting nearly 100,000 students annually. This critical organization believes all Colorado students deserve the ability to learn the fundamental economic and financial decision-making skills necessary to be successful throughout life.
EconLitCo's mission is to equip students with the fundamental skills to effectively participate as responsible and productive members of our free enterprise system by educating their teachers in economics and personal financial literacy.
EconLitCo accomplishes this mission by delivering:

Megan Scremin, CEO, and Tim Sharpe, Athlete Of The Year 2001 and current Fitness Coordinator, join me in this conversation about all things 2021 and they share SOCO updates and events coming up soon. My friend Paula and I did the Polar Plunge a few months ago and it was A BLAST! SOCO does an amazing job facilitating fun and unique fundraising events that are not only well orchestrated, but bring together an incredible group of like-minded humans and supporters… Paula and I walked away with new friends and a fresh enthusiasm to be involved with the SOCO community!! Be sure to check out The PLANE PULL coming Aug 28th and Sept 18th- Paula, myself, and a crew of our friends will be there too. Bet we can pull a plane faster than you:) Enjoy this fun-check-in with myself, Megan, and Tim as we highlight the impact of SOCO, coming events, and the heart space that leads their mission and values- what an amazing community! If you are an athlete that wants to get involved, a parent, or someone that want to volunteer check out their website for all details- you won't regret it!!

"The Only Constant in Life Is Change."
- Heraclitus
I am excited to welcome my longtime friend and fellow Denver base company owner, Jessica Crow, back to the T&T mic! Jessica spent the bulk of her career amongst the top of the corporate world- leading, evolving, and learning. In that time, she became a master of change/transformation and jumped the corporate ship to establish Apogy, her firm specializes in proven strategies for achieving change success. Like Jessica I have also had my share of learnings in the personal and professional realm and one thing Jessica and I absolutely agree on and suggest is a GREAT coach. Jessica and I were both athletes growing up and like many of you we didn't really have any coaches after sports ended. On this LIVE Club House conversation Jessica and I discuss the importance of a great coach and why it's even more important as we "grow up". We have both explored different coaches for personal and professional reasons and we share why we think these were such important moves for your own success and how it helped facilitate positive change all the way around.
Jessica is also an excellent example of the Turmeric & Tequila life: alongside her professional success, she is a certified yoga instructor and brings her understanding of the mind-body connect to her professional pursuits. If you listen to T&T you know that I believe it all connects, you can't leave any big holes in your game:) We need to be the whole package to achieve personal and professional success. We are seeing so many major companies, brands, and leaders humanize their professional systems. I have no doubt that Jessica and companies like her's will be on the forefront of the next wave of uber success professional situations and more importantly, happy, balanced working humans:)
Keep evolving and get a coach to help you do so!
Highlights:
Turmeric & Tequila. Live in a coffee shop. Club House convo. Managing change success in personal and professional situations. How to find a good coach. How to heal. Defining success. Growth breakdown and brake through. Humanizing the brand. Finding purpose. Constant evolution.
Jessica Crow is the founder of Apogy, a change management training, coaching, and consulting firm based in Denver, Colorado. Jessica started Apogy in 2019 after 16 years of successfully leading change and transformation for top companies including DaVita, Prologis, and Accuvant (now Optiv). During this time, Jessica started teaching yoga, where she developed a deeper understanding of the mind-body connection and how to help people experience positive, lasting change. Apogy is the culmination of this knowledge, combined with best practices and proven strategies for achieving change success.
