Hello Twisted Listeners! It's freaking March already,
This episode is very informative, funny, and insightful. Claire tells us the reality of teacher transferable skills. Does leading a differentiated reading group lend itself to working in Ed Tech? It's possible, but how do we translate our skills into the world outside of education? Claire talks about the reality of moving beyond the classroom.

There are graphic descriptions in this episode.

In the February Crimes episode, Kim talks about the gruesome murder of Iana Kasian. Her murderer, Blake Leibel, mirrored her murder to a gruesome story he wrote. Jen talks about the Delphi Murders of Abby Williams and Libby German. There has been an arrest after five years.

Jen and Kim talk about it all.  There was a Kramer sighting dealing with a jalapeno popper. They discuss parent control, year-long lesson plans, and teacher salaries. They also share a couple of banned books and their thoughts about them. Jen was recovering from Covid during the recording of this episode. It seems she may have forgotten she was doing a podcast whilst doing a podcast.

"It's like you are supposed to do the lettering on a group poster project, but you get home and your markers are dry." Jen talks about her participation in her 'group project' at work. Kim updates us on her dad's move. They discuss the idea of removing AP and Honors classes to ensure equity. In Florida, teachers have to have ALL their personal resources vetted before using them. Then there's the general discussion about aging and how our middle-aged bodies aren't telling us their plans.

Grant has been a teacher in Thailand for the past ten years. This is one of the most demanding and challenging education systems in the world. In that time, he created lesson plans, courses, and even complete curricula-all from scratch.

Grant realized that current internet resources barely help teachers. He's spent the last four years of nights and weekends quietly researching, designing, and finally building a solution.

He believes his solution will change the face of education.

Happy Sunday! Here is our re-release of a rant-filled episode.

Kim talks about her crossroads with instructional coaching and discusses why teachers may not be open to coaching. They revisit the pedophile commentary from John Rich and continue their tirade. He thinks it's ok to drink and drive, objectify women, and be sexually promiscuous in his songs, but he calls teachers out because there might be books he doesn't like in a school media center? They continue the discussion of stupid things people say with a review of dumb celebrity quotes. For Twisted Lit, Kim compares the challenged book, Strega Nona, with teaching.

This is our first book review. We reached out to Jeneva in hopes that she could talk about our questions about the book on the podcast. We know she's very busy. We did send her a message that we did a book review on The Perfect Marriage. We could be totally wrong about our opinions. Agree or disagree-it's a literary discussion. Either way, download the book so we can see what you think!

We are so excited to re-release this episode. It's one of our favorites. This was in response to the Parents' Bill of Rights that is approved in many states. Yes, it's satire, but satire is based on truth...

Jen and Kim have adapted their own bill of rights for teachers. If the parents have one, why can't educators? Then they create a fictitious world where there are fairy tale characters in our classrooms.  It's not too far off from reality. There are no sources for this episode since they made all this shit up.
