In our final episode for 2025 we chat about our own 2025 Wrapped (and why everything seems to have one), our favourite episodes, some podcast stats, guests we loved, travel highlights, Christmas plans, KK nostalgia, and an impromptu 80s pop quiz.

G’day everyone! In this episode of Two Cousins One Chat, Ben and Kristy are as Aussie as a sausage sizzle out the front of Bunnings on a Sunday! 

 Fresh off a very recent cousin catch-up in Melbourne with laneway adventures, Tims-toasties, and a bit of classic Gogg & McGoch in the Royal Arcade, they’re bang on headfirst into the weird and wonderful world of Aussie sayings.

🇦🇺 From “G’day mate” to “flat out like a lizard drinking,” this one’s basically a love letter to all things Aussie. 🍤 And of course… the big one: Throw Another Shrimp on the Barbie (even though we don’t say shrimp, we don’t put prawns on the barbie, and let’s be honest — it’s usually just snags or bangers).

Then they take things global with their top international sayings, attempting them in the native language (please brace yourself) before translating and rating their faves. Its a bit of a dogs breakfast but with plenty of laughs, a few linguistic disasters, its fair-dinks enough Aussie slang to last you ’til next Christmas, this episode is a bloody ripper. 

You’ll finish it by saying “fair dinkum,” whether you’re Aussie or not. Honest  that’s no bull!

Anna shares how she first picked up a paintbrush over 30 years ago, what still sparks her creativity today, and why she keeps her studio a strictly “no bad vibes” zone, even when she’s mid-brushstroke! Plus, we chat about seeing her art come to life in people’s homes, how school kids in Clare helped create something special, and what’s next in her world of colour.

In this episode of Two Cousins One Chat, Ben and Kristy take another trip down memory lane and straight into the category of “I would never do that now” .

It’s all about the things we did as kids (or in our wild wild 20s) that we would just hands down never ever do now.

🚲 Kristy confesses to late-night bike rides with a dodgy dynamo light she absolutely hated, underage nightclub appearances, and even lighting her mum’s cigarettes as a kid (yep, different times folks!).

🍻 Ben admits he wasn’t exactly adventurous, but he did his fair share of questionable choices, from cheap booze binges and country road trips in the back of a ute (sans seat belts), to swiping ciggies from his teacher’s handbag. This is a true story!

Between recent holidays, Adelaide’s City to Bay run, and the new 36ers’ NBL season, the cousins warm up before diving into this nostalgic list of “absolutely never again’zzzzz.” 

Of course with loads of laughs and a massive dose of “we sound so bloody ancient,” this one will have you cringing, nodding, and remembering your own “I would never do that now’s”

With a just a dash of research plus a few detours, this episode proves that even with blocked noses, we can still serve up peak cousin banter coughs and all!

The recent bushfires in Nhill, Dimboola, and the Wimmera region have had a devastating impact on the community, wildlife, and local landmarks. In this special episode of Two Cousins One Chat, we sit down with Monica Revell, CEO of Hindmarsh Shire Council, to discuss the scale of the damage, recovery efforts, and what’s being done to support those affected.
