His employer gives him a last chance to keep his job, and he is assigned to travel to the remote village of Crythin Gifford to examine the documentation of the Eel Marsh House that belonged to the recently deceased Mrs. Drablow. 

Arthur goes to the isolated manor and soon he finds that Eel Marsh House is haunted by the vengeful ghost of a woman dressed in black. He also learns that the woman lost her son, drowned in the marsh, and she seeks revenge, taking the children of the terrified locals. (source: imdb.com)

These phrases have entered into legend thanks to the film Highlander and it’s incredible soundtrack by Queen. 

Connor MacLeod (Christopher Lambert) is born in the Scottish Highlands in the 16th century. After reviving from a fatal wound, MacLeod is found by swordsman Ramírez (Sean Connery) who explains they and others were born immortal, invincible unless beheaded. Immortals wage a secret war, fighting each other until the last few remaining will meet at the Gathering to fight for the Prize. In 1985, the Gathering is finally happening in New York City and MacLeod must make sure the Prize is not won by his oldest enemy, the murderous Kurgan (Clancy Brown).

A single mother goes on a boating trip with several friends. When they are forced to abandon their ship, they board a derelict ocean liner, where they become convinced that someone is stalking them. (source: imdb.com) 

This is a great film with several mind-scrambling twists and genre-shifts. In fact, the marketing lets it down because the posters and trailer suggest it’s a slasher film on a cruise liner. Whilst that’s what you might think at first the film soon goes off in a scary time paradox direction. Many people will have given Triangle a miss because of the false impression created by the marketing. 

The film is based in part on the story of Sisyphus, a figure in Greek mythology. 

Written and directed by Christopher Smith (Creep 2004, Severance 2006, Black Death 2010, Detour 2016, Alex Rider TV Series 2020, The Banishing 2021). 

Great cast including Melissa George, Liam Hemsworth and Michael Dorman.
