Two Little Kits

In this episode of FlossTube, I'm sharing a cosy catch-up on what I've been stitching over the past fortnight — including progress on The Starry Night, Flower Meadow, and Flower Dragon Meadow. There are no finished pieces this time and no new patterns in my shop either, thanks to a busy stretch of commission stitching. I also chat about the Heaven & Earth Designs stitch-along… including the tiny detail that I still don't have the pattern yet, despite it being released early. 😂
In the meantime, I've been knee-deep in gridding my fabric and setting up a brand-new floss storage box, which has me feeling >extremely organised and ready.

I also talk through a new blog post about Etsy and how it's often used very differently to how it was originally intended, touch on some recent negative feedback and why I felt it was important to mention it, and share a few real-life updates — including Christmas with my little family and the fact that we've now officially been living in the USA for freaking ten whole years..! Plus, I ramble (politely) about social media still doing a thing on Instagram and my mild confusion about what people might be expecting from me next. Plz send halp.

This fortnight's FlossTube is a proper mixed bag — in the most satisfying, stitchy way. I'm chatting about the absolute rollercoaster that Instagram has been lately (from a Reel that unexpectedly took off and what's come of it 👀), and how that's sparked a fun, slightly unhinged-in-the-best-way creative idea for 2026. My latest FlossTube is finally here, and I'm kicking things off with a brand-new cross-stitch pattern reveal: "Zodiac: Sagittarius"! It was such a whirlwind of a test stitch, which you might've guessed since I had nothing to share about it *last* FlossTube...

I'm also sharing a big update on my plans for the 'Heaven and Earth Designs' 2026 stitch-along, including switching from 25ct linen to a [more forgiving] 22ct evenweave... which I'm certain future-me is going to be grateful for. Plus: enamel pin purchases that may or may not become needleminders, a few juicy WIP updates (including a very unlikely three-in-a-row "Flower Meadow" dice roll), and some delightfully chaotic IRL moments from the past two weeks.

Alongside all that, I've been wrestling with my current floss storage setup for the upcoming HAED SAL, and let's just say the Floss-A-Way system is not "sparking joy". I also share a quick peek at new commissions on my plate and a few side tangents because, well, it wouldn't be a Two Little Kits' episode without those.

This episode ended up packed to the brim, even if it hasn't been the week I'd planned (hence why this is a day late!). I finally get to show you my finished bookmark design from 'Spellbound Stitches Volume 5: Bookmark Book', which has been the world's longest tease [sorry, not sorry?]. I'm also chatting about my brand-new pattern "'Tism Spoon": a funny, neurospicy little design based off a current online meme.

Plus, my Mini Talk Show now has four whole episodes and its very own landing page with all the links you could dream of. Over on the blog, there are four new posts waiting, including one all about Spellbound Stitches V5. I'm hoping to get October's wrap-up out soon too!

There's also an enormous haul from 123stitch.com because I [clearly possessed by future-stitching ambition] signed myself up for the 2026 HAED stitch-along. Floss, fabric, shiny new scissors; even one special item I've always wanted... but you'll have to watch for the reveal. And with all the test stitching for "'Tism Spoon", I've only got four WIPs to share this fortnight. Oh! And Flower Meadow is only about six weeks from being finished. Absolutely wild.

It's time for another FlossTube episode, and I've got a mix of spooky, stitchy, and silly things to share this week! 👻

I'm showing off my "Superstitious Stitches" piece from the book "Witchy Stitching" —perfectly timed for Halloween— plus a little peek at the back of my "Ever After" bookmark (the front's still a secret for just a little longer!). I also squeezed in a fun Stitch People portrait commission, which was the perfect creative break between bigger projects.

There's plenty of new stitchy goodness to talk about, too: the latest "Zodiac: Scorpio" pattern is now live, alongside a new blog post covering Leo through Scorpio in the 'Zodiac' series. I also treated myself to a few new patterns (and some gorgeous linen!) from NeedleLot Designs and Barbara Ana Designs — I just had to. And yes... I actually followed through and launched my new mini talk show series on social media! Two episodes are out already, with plans to post new ones each Wednesday.

Of course, I've still been busy with my WIPs — from "Flower Meadow" nearing its finish line, to a new blackwork cat I'm stitching as a Christmas gift for my youngest. There's even a cheeky new piece in progress inspired by internet "rating spoons" memes — because why not? Plus, I share a little Halloween fun, my “Booey” jumper, and the cat accessories I made that Milo is far too proud of. It's been a full and fabulous fortnight — come hang out and catch up! 🎃✨

This fortnight's FlossTube is packed with stitching updates, new patterns, and some fun little life bits in between!

I've got a finished piece to share — well, almost! My "Ever After" bookmark is all stitched up and ready to be turned into, you know… an actual bookmark (that's on my to-do list this week 😅). I can't wait to show it off properly next episode!

I'm also chatting about my latest pattern release, "No Hiding", and how thrilled I am to see so many of you already stitching it. Plus, I couldn't resist adding a few new patterns to my stash — mini cross-stitch versions of famous paintings by TheStitchPatterns that are just chef's kiss. This time, I've even got mini frames ready and waiting!

You'll also get to see progress on my WIPs, especially "Zodiac: Scorpio", which I finally started after putting it off for... far too long. And somewhere between juggling four other projects and three nights of solo parenting, I managed to get a surprising amount of stitching done. Phew!

This week’s FlossTube is a mix of stitching progress, funny behind-the-scenes moments, and a few exciting updates!

I’m sharing all my current WIPs, including my whinsical new piece "Superstitious Stitches" (picked up to join in the #seasonofthewitchsal hashtag on Instagram — because of course I couldn’t resist). You’ll also get a peek at a few of my works-in-progress, including an update on my "Flower Meadow" as it continues tp grow closer to being done. Oh — and I may have accidentally designed the wrong Zodiac sign this past fortnight… oops. (You can laugh with me. It's pretty funny 😁)
