  • WealthWellnessWednesday with Dr Amber Tichenor - 05.10.23

TwoSistas welcomed to today’s podcast on this WealthWellnessWednesday, May 10, 2023, Dr. Amber Tichenor.  Dr. Tichenor is the founder of To Be, Coaching + Consulting®. A thought leader on the topic of women’s rivalry, Amber has 20+ years’ experience as an Organizational Change Strategy and Leadership consultant where she helped guide businesses through transformational change.

The insights of Dr. Tichenor’s book, Behind Frenemy Lines explores the realities of female rivalry and the shocking secret that women are willing to tear down each other in personal and in business.  When we tend to think of rivalry, we think of those triggers which usually prompt a reaction.  It’s the process or a strategy to “hit the pause button”, gather our thoughts and ask ourselves “is it worth it”.  Those are the triggers that usually prompt a response such as stress (which ultimately affects our overall wellness.)

Compete or empower - what should one do?  Unresolved trauma and forgiveness. As Dr. Amber mentions in her book, “ . . . we heal from physical pain, it ends?  Emotional pain is different.” While there is no specific time-line, it is a personal process which at times requires “hindsight”.  “Hindsight is the golden ticket.”

Dr. Tichenor is deeply passionate about addressing the phenomenon of rivalry between women.  She consults with organizations and offers speaking engagements and workshops on the importance of the phenomenon, the challenges and behaviors it presents, along with coping and recovery steps.

Dr Tichenor’s goal is to promote collaboration over competition, to empower women to find their voice, leave the rivalry behind, and team up with a community of like-minded women who support each other to be unstoppable together.

  • TriumphTuesday with Devin Grindrod - 05.09.23

TwoSistas welcomed to today’s podcast on this TriumphTuesday, May 9, 2023, Devin Grindrod.  Devin is a strong advocate for empowerment and whole-person healing. She received her B.A. in Psychology and is currently working as an evidential psychic medium and Usui Reiki Master Teacher. Her mission is to help people overcome their limiting beliefs and learn to trust in the power of their own inner knowing.

Devin loves energy work and it has shown its presence throughout the years.  Devin had some health issues and underwent acupuncture, chiropractic treatments and sought nutrition counseling and realized the profound benefits to energy healing, specifically Reiki.  As Devin describes it, Reiki is the gateway drug to energy healing.  The term “Reiki” means: “Rei”  = Universe; “Ki” = Energy. Everything works in harmony with the mind, body, spirit and energy.

Devin is also an Evidential Psychic Medium and we chatted about the boundaries and how such messages are received and interpreted.  (Such an amazing conversation and Devin went into great detail!)

Devin also chatted about quantum manifestation, healing (in the 5th dimension) and the hopefulness and empowerment one achieves (a tidal wave of change!)  From there, the love abundance flows such as love, wealth, health and caring.  In other words, go after your goal, if it seems like you won’t get to that goal, in all likelihood you will not reach it but if you start out with a more simplistic goal and “chunk it up” from there, you’ve just crashed your limiting beliefs and when that happens, amazing things will happen - oh what a Tidal Wave!

  • FantabulousFriday with Dr. Amanda Adkins - 05.05.23

TwoSistas welcomed to today’s podcast on this FantabulousFriday, May 5, 2023 (Cinco de Mayo), Dr Amanda Adkins.  Dr. Adkins is a physician double board certified in Internal Medicine and Lifestyle Medicine. She was trained at University of Louisville School of Medicine. She is the CEO/Owner of Enlightenment Health and Wealth.  She helps women who are overweight prevent and possibly reverse chronic illnesses such as diabetes, heart disease and high blood pressure.

She obviously is very passionate about this topic because she was an obese teenager who has a family history of heart disease, diabetes and cancer.   As early as 6th grade, Dr. Adkins wanted to be a physician.  As she progressed through high school, it wasn’t until she had to step on the scale where she realized the fate of her wellness was truly up to her.  She began a quest to become “healthy”.

Her new healthy wellness plan began as a vegetarian then a vegan lifestyle.  She felt empowered as she began losing weight but she considered herself to be a vegan junk food addict.  It wasn’t until she started on her education quest to become a physician when she heard a doctor at a conference state “you cannot exercise a bad habit.”   Something within her clicked!

When Dr. Adkins looks back at her journey and what she would tell the young “Amanda”, she was very vulnerable and teared up.  While we may be predisposed to certain genetic factors which contribute to various diseases, Dr. Adkins shared that we can turn those genes on and off.  We would love for some of ours to be turned off but our journeys continue and as we evolve, we can certainly partake in our own wellness journey in a way that feels attainable.  Personally, Janis loves attainable, but mostly cookies and chips!

  • MindsetMonday with Terri Kozlowski - 05.01.23

TwoSistas welcomed to today’s podcast on this MindsetMonday, May 1, 2023, Terri Kozlowski.  Terri is a certified life coach, blogger, the author of "Raven Transcending Fear," and founder of Soul Solutions. She specializes in empowering women by teaching them to set personal boundaries, reframe the stories they tell themselves, overcome their fears, and push past their limiting beliefs.  Part memoir, part self-help guide, Terri’s book is a raw and personal story of diving deep into childhood trauma, dealing with the terror before ultimately getting comfortable with fear and transcending it.  Transcending is exactly what she accomplished!

Terri shared her very vulnerable traumatic childhood in a way that honored her journey to where she is today.  From the moment that she was sexually abused at a very young age to her Moms alcohol and drug addiction and the lack of support from her Mom, Terri’s mindset became even more prevalent as she navigated through her life.  How does one respond or have the emotional capacity at such a young age to even respond?  It all goes back to mindset.

How you view your perceptions matter!  If we can respond in a mindful place, that’s great; for many it takes several years as it did for Terri.  She realized along the way that she had to share her story.  Our ego may tell us one thing but it’s the power in telling your story that can have a positive impact on others.

As Terri’s Dad, to whom she initially shared her story with specifically asked of her:  “Now what?”, Terri had to reframe her story on her own terms.  Through counseling  Terri’s “now what” is repurposed in a way that honors her journey and serves others!  That’s the beauty of your mindset:  repurpose, forgiveness and hope!

“My Life.  My Power.”  Terri Kozlowski

How will you take your power back?

  • Post Podcast Chat on the MindsetMonday Episode with Lyn Delmastro-Thomson - 03.13.23

TwoSistas are excited to share this Post Podcast Chit Chat (Episode #622) concluding our podcast with Lyn Delmastro-Thomson on the MindsetMonday Episode recorded on March 13, 2023.  In this less than 4-minute chat, we chatted about making decisions, the courage to know what’s right for you and how that leap felt when the path appeared!

Lyn is a certified hypnotist, energy healer, and entrepreneur for the past 13 years.  While attending undergraduate school, Lyn had opted for elective surgery.  During the pre-op tests, there was an issue with Lyn’s blood work.  At that time, she was diagnosed with leukemia.

This life-changing dramatic diagnosis had a major impact on her life.  She underwent 3-years of chemo treatment; however, despite the fact that her blood work was starting to look better, her health further declined and this deeply affected her mindset.  She lost an extreme amount of weight and of course reported this all to her physicians.  Lyn instinctively knew that something was just not right.  Thankfully, she followed her instinct!
