Super Single Sunday is HERE once again friends! Tune in for an hour with my good friend Katie Clouse as we tackle dating sites, the perils of risking vulnerability and my mild obsession with her mother. That's right.....it gets real weird. So enjoy an hour of what we're calling "Love Me, Tinder" or something like that. Cheers!
He's a phenomenal talent on the classical guitar and a maker of bread, purveyor of laughter and an all-around great guy; meet Clif Brown. He's become a great friend, and when you give a listen to this podcast, you're gonna want to be his friend too. He's engaging, compassionate and lead by a quiet optimism that permeates his every action. He enjoys some 4 By 4 1835 Black IPAs and gives you and me a slice of his time. Please enjoy!
You ever meet someone and know, just KNOW, that there's so many interesting layers to that person, even if they're very quiet? Well, meet Larry Phillips. Larry and I have been friends for a few years through the gym, finding common ground in our love of smoking meats and good beer. A software engineer by trade, Larry is a laser beam of focus and discipline, earning him both professional kudos as well as in endeavors such as powerlifting and overall respect from all who meet him. I am so fortunate to know Larry, and this podcast is but one glimpse into the many facets of this badass individual. As always....I respect his grind.
Jim "The Rev" Oman and I usually do a Christmas show for the podcast, but with 2020 being what it was, our timing was never quite right. So we fix that today, with a wintry cold February conversation on a wide range of things, but focusing on moving forward in the future.....retirement for him and looming on the horizon for me. We talk about keeping your own ship upright in a positive way, and how we can try laugh along the way. Enjoy a fun hour with The Rev!
Jeff Butler is a regular on the show and together we welcome Tony Kelley, a retired Fire Battalion Chief, former President of Missouri State Council Of Firefighters and Firefighters Local 152 president. We decided to tackle the recent insurrection, some local 4 By 4 beers and our various opinions on all kinds of stuff. Tune in for an hour with two informed guys and one idiot*
*it's me, I'm the idiot.
Kelly Cardin and I have been friends, co-workers and rabble rousers for over 20 years. We've fought, played hockey, built some things, and watched our kids grow up all while trying our best to stay true to that stubborn creative streak that can drive those around us up the wall. For two hours, we talked all things fire service, hockey, bbq and the wild stories in between. Enjoy a long form show between two old friends who still enjoy each other's company.
He's a powerhouse of local music, and many may not know that Steve Ames is classically trained in opera; this is just one of MANY many facets of the man I had the pleasure of spending a Saturday with recently. Steve is unapologetically liberal, heartfelt and lives by the motto "the Devil cannot abide to be mocked" resulting in feisty exchanges with many folks who post in all caps on local news sites. It was a great day, and I feel fortunate to know him a little better. Enjoy some great tunes and a boozy romp!
My good friend Chad Harris has just released his irreverent book containing tips and games to play with your precious burdens "Raise Your Own Damn Kids". Using his signature style he's honed from standup comedic work, improv, and his time as "Chad The Dad", he's been able to compile a fun guide to passing on and creating your own family traditions. Enjoy a distanced podcast with a good friend, and go buy his book!
He's the kind of subtle dynamite that you're wary of tripping over; a quiet energy that radiates the message that he could thump your ass without a second thought, and you'd thank him for the pleasure on the way down into the dirt. Max Bullock is the embodiment of what you think comprises a rugby player, and he's also one hell of a nice guy. I'm lucky enough to call him a friend and co-worker, and I invite you to sit down for a boozy hour where we get to know the man who went from partying too hard early on into the student of the physical game of chess. Cheers!
Ever meet someone with so much creative talent, it makes you wonder what planet they're from? No? Well, meet Nate White, a local musician bursting with so much passion and raw energy that even a casual conversation with him leaves you feeling fortunate that you got to glimpse what drives this man. He was gracious enough to sit down over some drinks to discuss "Princess SuperHero" his latest musical effort and share the very things that inspire him and fuels his creative output. Please enjoy a great conversation with a truly interesting soul.
