Our lesson on the Spiritual Life of the believer in Christ begins with Dr. Mitchell recounting an episode with one of his fellow colleagues who was laying sick in bed in the hospital.

He will then go on to expand on the subject of eternal life reviewing several more verses.

Dr. Mitchell makes mention of the fact that in the Gospel of John, the apostle always used the words ‘believe’ or ‘believing’ some 90 times,

We heard Dr. Mitchell giving us four things that are true about eternal life.

As Dr. Mitchell has said, Life only comes through relationship. To have eternal life, one must be related to one who is eternal.

Dr. Mitchell will be giving us numerous scripture passages dealing with the truth of eternal life as found in Jesus Christ.

Dr. Mitchell will then be continuing with the Bible’s presentation of eternal life...what it is and how one can have it.

The Gospel of John primarily gives evidence of who Jesus is.

Once a person receives this eternal life, it can never be taken away because it is ‘eternal’ life.

Here is Dr. Mitchell looking at Mark 10:17-21 and Luke 10:25-37  with two men wanting eternal life.

We will be reviewing the Bible’s truth of justification from our previous lesson. Dr. Mitchell will look at what is the right kind of faith. 

What is the right kind of faith? It is justifying faith and Christ’s resurrection is the guarantee of this justification. Rom.4:24 thru 5:1.

Dr. Mitchell will then bring us to the revelation and declaration of eternal life for everyone who believes in the Lord Jesus Christ. John 20:30-31

Dr. Mitchell presented two questions that mankind has asked down through the centuries. How can I get rid of my sin and how can I live forever?

What would you say are the answers to these two questions?

On the Unchanging Word Bible Broadcast we are following through on the Spiritual Life of the Believer in Christ.

As Dr. Mitchell states, we will be looking at the Bible’s and God’s declaration of the believer as righteous before Him which is called ‘Justification’.

Justification is different from being innocent. Innocency is being without sin, even as Adam and Eve were at the beginning.

This is more than absence of sin it is a positive declaration and imputation of the very righteousness of the savior to one’s account.
