Our Lord is presented as one who did the will of God and not His own will.
Jesus always did the will of His Father.
Jesus did the will of God through His words and by His deeds and actions.
Being filled with the Spirit means to walk in fellowship with Him in His will.
His purpose becomes our purpose.
Here Dr. Mitchell presents the Savior as one who delights to do the will of God.
Jesus had no place for self will, John 5:30, where Jesus seeks not His own will,
but the will of the Father.
One purpose which scripture reveals is that of Glorifying God in all we do. 1Cor.10:31.

Our lesson begins with Dr. Mitchell reviewing the previous truths spoken of in previous lessons concerning the filling of the Holy Spirit.
So in this lesson, Dr. Mitchell asks the question, What does it mean to be filled with the Holy Spirit?
He gives us three things. It means to be under the Spirit’s control. It also means to be filled with the Word of God.
We are to let the Word of Christ richly dwell within us. Colossians 3:16
It also means an abandonment to God.
In Romans 12:2 we are implored by the mercies of God to present our bodies a living and holy sacrifice,
acceptable to God, which is our reasonable service of worship.

There is being borne of the Spirit, the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, the sealing of the Spirit in the body of Christ.

As Dr. Mitchell alludes to the apostle Paul’s
statement in 1 Corinthians 12:13, “For by one
Spirit we were all baptized into one body,..we
were all made to drink of one Spirit,” we, who
have come to know Jesus Christ as savior and
Lord have become united with Christ in an
eternal relationship. There is one body,
the body of Christ, referred to as the church
which is union with Christ and with one another.
This baptism sent from God by the Lord Jesus Christ in
