As we continue in Revelation chapters 21 and 22, here on the Unchanging Word Bible Broadcast, Dr. Mitchell will be discussing both the saved and the unsaved as they relate to this city, the New Jerusalem. He shows the contrast between the believers and the unbelievers.

As Dr. Mitchell reminds us, as those who are facing eternity after living life on this earth for only so many years, where do you and I stand in relationship to the eternal God? Dr. Mitchell will speak to us of the New Jerusalem, a city, which comes down out of heaven from God. It is the home of the church. The church will dwell in this city which Jesus said He would prepare for us. Remember from John 14? This city is the place where the bride of he Lamb will live. And here it is described in detail.

Dr. Mitchell will give us an overview and insights into the composition of the structure of this New city. He will look at the gates and the foundation of this city making mention of the fact that both Israel and the nations will have access to it through the gates, but it is the church who will live there.

Our Teacher, Dr. Mitchell will be looking at the theme or topic of the New Jerusalem found in this chapter.

Beginning at verse 2, the Apostle John sees the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven. This city is so arrayed in splendor it is compared to a bride adorned for her husband.

Dr. Mitchell extols the marvel of that time when the former things will have passed away and we will enjoy God, the Lord Jesus and His presence absolutely unhindered for all the rest of eternity. Isn't that a blessed hope as well?

In verse 7, Dr. Mitchell speak to the issue of who is the overcomer. The Lord speaks of overcomers earlier in this book. Are you an overcomer?

We are now entering into chapter 21 of the book of Revelation. We are beginning in verse 1 where John saw a new heaven and a new earth for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away.

Dr. Mitchell explains that God will be creating a brand new universe and not just renovating, recovering or updating the old universe. God says in verse 5, "Behold, I make all things new" where the former things will have passed away.

Our study in the book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ finishes out chapter 20 in verses 11 thru 15.

Acts 17:31 tells us that "God has fixed a day in which He will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom He has appointed and of this he has given proof to all by raising Him from the dead", that is, Jesus is that Man.

In verses 11 - 15 the Apostle John describes the great white throne judgment where the dead are judged.

Our teacher Dr. John G. Mitchell will be continuing our study in the book of Revelation chapter 20 verses 7 thru 10.

In verses 7 thru 10 the Apostle John writes concerning what happens after the 1000 years have ended. Another battle is instigated by the deceiver in which a large army surrounds the city of Jerusalem. But this rebellion is short lived due to fire coming down from heaven -- destroying the rebels.

The instigator of the rebellion, Satan, is then thrown into the lake of fire to be tormented for eternity.

Our hope is that you believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. For there is no other name given among men under heaven by whom we must be saved.

Are you trusting Him? He will deliver us from the wrath to come!

We are in chapter 19 of the book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ.

Dr. Mitchell will cover Revelation 19 verses 19 and 21.

These three verses give us what is known as the battle of Armageddon. Our Lord is the victory in this battle over the beast, the false prophet and the armies of the earth.

Once again we see the power of the Word of Christ which comes out of the mouth of our Lord Jesus. It is quick and powerful and sharper than any two edged sword.

Then Dr. Mitchell will touch on chapter 20 verses 1-3 in which Satan is bound for a literal thousand years.
