In Revelation 15 verses 5 thru 8 we are looking at a scene in heaven. John sees the temple opened in heaven. And out of the temple come 7 angels. John then describes the apparel of these angels.

Something about this temple seems obvious to John. John does not use a word suggesting a comparison, or a likeness or a similarity to the temple. He sees a literal physical temple with literal angels with physical clothing. It should be noted that what he sees is real.

Do you know that something spiritual can also be seen as physical and visible?

The resurrected Lord Jesus Christ Himself proved this to His disciples by showing them His hands and feet. (Luke 24:39)

We are continuing our study of the book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ.

The Apostle John wrote this book while imprisoned on the island of Patmos. He was there because of two things, the Word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Jesus says He Himself also came to bear witness to the truth. (John 18:37) and He did.

John wrote things that he saw, things that are, and now, the things which will happen after these things.

So now, He hears the response of these tribulation saints.

To the Lord God, the Almighty, the King of the saints, of the ages and of the nations, they rejoice in God our Savior!

On the Unchanging Word Bible Broadcast we now venture into Revelation chapter 15 with Dr. John G. Mitchell.

As we begin this chapter, John writes, "I saw another sign in heaven…". John writes what he sees.

He saw seven more holy angels. These have the last 7 plagues in which the wrath of God is fully accomplished.

1Thess.5:9 says, 'God has not appointed us to wrath but for salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.'

So, let's open our Bibles to Revelation chapter 15 and study along with Dr. Mitchell.

The Unchanging Word Bible Broadcast welcomes you to our study in Revelation chapter 14 verses 12 thru 20 with Dr. John G. Mitchell.

Here in Revelation 14 verse 12-13 the patience of the saints during the tribulation is called for.

In Romans 12:12, it says "rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer."

So, Even today, patience is called for.

Dr. Mitchell brings out the fact that it is Blessed to die in the Lord, and to be with the Lord, rather than worship the beast or take the mark or his number.

Next, God's wrath is pictured as grapes being trodden out in the wine press of God. The blood will be splattered as high as the bridles of the horses for a distance of 1600 stadia, e.g. 200 miles.

But to believers, however, The shed blood of our Lord Jesus delivers us from the wrath to come. (Romans 5:9)

Our study in Biblical prophesy continues with this 4th lesson concerning the nation of Israel. As Dr. Mitchell asks, "Is God through with Israel?" Is there hope for Israel? Will God fulfill His promises to His nation, Israel? Take a look at season 23 of this podcast.

Our study will examine some major scriptures in which God’s relationship with Israel as a nation is put forward for our instruction. Unlike in former days, Israel is now no longer called Palestine! Samaria and Judea are no longer called the West Bank.

As noted, God is going to gather Israel back to the land that the Lord promised to them. This gathering began on May14 of 1948 when this people became its own nation once again even with her enemies surrounding her then as it still is today.

Dr. Mitchell asks, when will Israel be freed from her enemies? He turns our attention to Hosea 5:15 where the Lord is waiting for their national repentance.

We continue in Revelation chapter 14 beginning at verse 6 on the Unchanging Word Bible Broadcast.

Our teacher, Dr. John G. Mitchell speaks of an angel flying in mid-heaven with a gospel to preach to those who will be dwelling on the earth. It is God's final appeal to those dwelling on the earth to believe in the Living God who created the heavens and the earth, the sea and the springs of water. Dr. Mitchell goes on to explain how there are 3 different gospels from God in the New Testament.

He also shares that in this chapter 14 alone there are 6 different angels. Each one says or does something different from the other.

Hebrews chapter 1 verse 14 tells us that God has made angels to serve those who will inherit salvation but they are not to be worshiped. John is warned later in this book when he tried to worship one.

Our focus in chapter 14 changes to a picture of the Lamb on Mount Zion with the 144,000 who had written on their foreheads the name of the Lamb and the name of His Father.

Dr. Mitchell identifies these 144,000 as the same ones who were sealed in chapter 7.

These are the godly remnant of Israel.

These were pure men who were redeemed from the earth.

These men were separated unto the Lamb and to His Father and they follow the Lamb wherever the Lamb goes.

You and I can follow the Lamb today by trusting in the Lord Jesus Himself and reading and listening and believing His Word, the Bible.

Welcome to the Unchanging Word Bible Broadcast as we explore Revelation chapter 13 verses 11-18.

Our teacher, Dr. John G. Mitchell observes in these verses a second beast which arises out of the earth. This one looks like a lamb, but speaks like a dragon.

Dr. Mitchell brings out the fact that during that time, no one will be able to buy or to sell unless they have the mark of the beast on the right hand or the forehead. The word 'mark' seems to refer to something like a tattoo, an etching or cutting of the skin. Then he refers to the number of man. It is the one number for all of those who dwell on the earth, those who do not believe in the living God at that time.

As we read and hear the Word of God, the Holy Spirit show us who Jesus is. Believing in the Lord Jesus Christ, one is delivered from the wrath to come.

Is that not good news?

Welcome to the Unchanging Word Bible Broadcast as we continue our study in the book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ as He is presented in this book.

He is presented as the judge of the churches, of the nations and of His people Israel. He will redeem His people who place their faith and trust in Him alone before He descends from heaven with a shout and the voice of the archangel and the trumpet of God.

Dr. Mitchell will be discussing a beast which now appears arising out of the sea, e.g. the sea of unsaved humanity. It is interesting to note that the word 'beast', found in this passage is referred to as an 'it' an entity and not as a 'him' a person. This is evident in the words used of the Apostle of John in New Testament Koiné Greek.

Dear friend, if you know the Lord Jesus, you have overcome the evil one. If you do not yet know Christ as you savior, you can escape the snare of the devil by trusting in the Lord Jesus Christ right now.

Just ask Him to save you.

And He will.
