As we continue in chapter 7, Dr. Mitchell be sharing with us concerning what the Apostle John both saw and wrote about concerning the great multitude which came out of the great tribulation thru the blood of the Lamb.

Dr. Mitchell discusses this multitude.

Who are they?

Where do they come from?

What did they suffer?

And how will they be comforted by the Lamb?

The Lord Jesus urges us to come to Him and He will give us rest.

Have you trusted Christ for your eternal salvation? Have you trusted the Lord Jesus to save you from the coming great tribulation and the wrath of the Lamb?

Just talk to Him and ask Him to save you and He will.

The Unchanging Word Bible Broadcast now turns to Revelation chapter 7 verses 1-9.

Welcome to this study of the Revelation of Jesus Christ, the last book of the Bible.

You'll see that chapter 7 is an interlude before Jesus opens the 7th seal revealed in the next chapter.

In these first nine verses, John sees two angels and hears the number of the those from the 12 tribes of Israel who are to be sealed. There are 144,000 in total. Once again, these 12 tribes were sealed on their foreheads as a means of protection and redemption from the judgments to come.

John then sees a multitude which could not be numbered standing before the throne and the Lamb. These are the ones who have come out of the great tribulation and washed their robes in the blood of the Lamb.

Let's join Dr. Mitchell, Rev.7:1.

In this lesson from the Unchanging Word Bible Broadcast, we are studying Rev. 6 verses 12 thru 17.

Here we find Jesus opening the 6th of 7 seals on the scroll. The opening of this seal effects the heavens. The sun is effected. The moon is effected. The stars are effected. Even heaven itself is rolled up like a scroll.

Then on the earth, the mountains and islands are violently shaken out of their places. Such violent upheavals causes people on earth to run and hide among the rocks and the caves knowing that these things were caused by the wrath of God and the wrath of the Lamb.

Dr. Mitchell speaks of how Christ in His glory is revealed in this judgment. Jesus Christ is seen in the display of His Deity as the Son of Man to whom all authority for judgment has been given by His Father.

Here on the Unchanging Word Bible Broadcast Dr. John G. Mitchell expounds Revelation chapter 6 verses 7 thru 11.

The Apostle John writes concerning the 4th and 5th seals which the Lord opened in heaven. The events of these seals will take place on earth, but they are revealed to John in heaven.

Dr. Mitchell will speak of the fourth seal.

Here death and hades kills 1/4 of the world's population. At the time Dr. Mitchell spoke, the world population was around 4 billion. As of now, it is over 7.5 billion.

When the Lord opens the 5th seal, a different sight appears. Here are the souls of those who had been slaughtered because of the Word of God and the witness they had maintained. They were alive in heaven and speaking to the Lord crying out for Him to avenge their death upon the earth dwellers.

Let's turn to Rev.6:7 with Dr. Mitchell.

Revelation chapter 6 is our focus in this lesson with Dr. John G. Mitchell.

Here in chapter 6, the Apostle John writes how he watched when the Lamb opened the first seal on the scroll. He then heard one of the four living creatures say "Come". So, At his command, a white horse appears.

After a brief overview of what we have studied so far in chapters 1 thru 5, Dr. Mitchell will give us an understanding of the first 3 seals that Jesus opens and the judgments they represent .

Dr. Mitchell takes us to Jesus' own words in Mt. 24 which He spoke to his disciples which also speak of the beginnings of the judgments of God.

Let's open our Bibles and join Dr. Mitchell in Revelation chapter 6.

Here on the Unchanging Word Bible Broadcast we are studying Revelation 5:1-14 with our teacher Dr. John G. Mitchell.

In this passage we are seeing Jesus, of the tribe of Judah, the root of David, standing as a lamb as slain. The Savior, the Lord Jesus is no longer sitting as an intercessor for His people, but is standing as a judge of the world.

The scene is in heaven, not on the earth.

John hears the voice of many angels whose number could not be numbered. They were speaking with loud voices, Praise to the Lamb. Then EVERY created being in heaven and on earth and under the earth and upon the sea also join in to give glory to the Lamb who sits on the throne, our Lord Jesus Christ.

Let's think about it as Dr. Mitchell continues in Rev. 5:1-14.

It is Jesus Christ who is revealed in this chapter. He is revealed as the Lion of the tribe of Judah, as the Root of David, and as a Lamb standing. Jesus is called the Lamb three times in this chapter.

Dr. Mitchell reminds us that reference to Jesus as the Lamb occurs 28 times in the book of Revelation.

In all of heaven and earth and even under the earth no one but the Lamb was found worthy to open the scroll and to look into it.

This scroll, this literal document, is sealed fast with seven literal seals. These seals signify authority, authenticity, security and protection. And in this particular case, they also signify privacy.

They protect the privacy of this scroll until the one comes who is worthy to open them.

Jesus will personally open each seal, one by one, Himself.

Here is Dr. Mitchell, Revelation 5:1-6.

We are looking into the Revelation of Jesus Christ, chapter 4 once again.

As we heard before, John heard a loud voice like a trumpet saying, Come up here! He was caught up to heaven where he saw a throne set up and one seated on the throne. John wrote what he saw.

The Lord Jesus had directed John to write the things which he saw unlike the Apostle Paul in 2Cor. 12, who heard words which he was not able to express. There were no language, no words, no vocabulary that could express what Paul heard.

But here, John wrote down both what he saw and what he heard. And you and I now have this revelation for us to read and believe and be blessed with. We can know what things will be coming after these things.

Let's join Dr. Mitchell here in Revelation chapter 4:1-11.

Our study proceeds on into chapter 4 of the book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ, the last book of the Bible.

Dr. Mitchell will be concluding his overview of the great tribulation period. This is also known as the day of the Lord, which begins sometime after the rapture of the church to be with the Lord forever.

Dr. Mitchell presents several Scriptures which speak of the salvation of the believer as one who will be delivered from the wrath to come.

He then supplies ample evidence from Scripture as to character of the Day of the Lord.

Jesus said, "Then shall there be Great Tribulation such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time no nor ever shall be." Mt.24:21-22.

That day is a day of darkness and gloom, both of judgement and wrath.

You don't want to be there then, so trust Jesus now.

Our study in the book of Revelation, the revealing of Jesus Christ, now begins in chapter 4.

Here in chapter 4, John hears a loud voice saying to him, "Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after these things."

John, in the Spirit, is caught up to heaven. He saw a throne and one seated on the throne.

This is our first view of the Judge.

Our teacher, will be taking time to expand our scriptural understanding of the Great Tribulation in this and the next lesson.
