This week, we’re Calling in Sick for the very first episode dedicated to PAIN—one of the most universal yet misunderstood experiences in the chronic illness community. Chronic pain is complex, persistent, and deeply personal, which is why I’m kicking off a special series exploring this topic.

In this week’s episode, I open up about my personal journey with pain, from childhood episodes to managing chronic pain as an adult. I break down the different types of pain, explain why it’s so challenging to diagnose and treat, and highlight the often-overlooked impact chronic pain has on mental health.
