Rachele and Cecilia kick off the show with all the latest film news including news about the Candyman reboot by Jordan Peele and the announcement that there is going to be a Hocus Pocus 2. They also review the new Will Ferrell and Julia Louise-Dreyfus film Downhill and discuss Dark Waters, the new Mark Ruffalo film which tells the true story of a lawyer who uncovers some rather sinister information about large conglomerate DuPont.

Child stars Shia LaBeouf and Daniel Radcliffe are the topic of conversation on tonights show, with the team reviewing Honeyboy and Guns Akimbo. They also discuss For Sama, a documentary on the war in Aleppo, Syria from the perspective of a young mother.

The team give a rundown on the 2020 Oscars. Lewis also reviews the newly titled Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey.

Bird of Prey (and the Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) flew into cinemas this week, and with resident comic book expert Lewis away, Ada gives us her review. For a completely different tone, Cecilia reviews The Lighthouse, a film by Robert Eggers, the acclaimed director of The Witch.

For the second week in a row, the team discuss Kristen Stewart’s acting chops. Last week it was her performance in Underwater, and this week it's her portrayal of actress Jean Seberg in the new film Seberg. Rachele, Lewis and Cecilia also discuss Shia LaBeouf's latest venture in The Peanut Butter Falcon. They also review Terrence Malick's latest creation A Hidden Life, which tells the true story of an Austrian farmer who refused to swear allegiance to Hilter during World War II.

Rachele and Lewis discuss all the latest in the world of film including Robert Downey Jnr’s role as a vet who can talk to animals in Doolittle, Tom Hanks role as the iconic Mr Rogers in A Beautiful Day in the Neighbourhood and Kristen Stewart’s performance as a mechanical engineer aboard a drilling rig set at the bottom of the ocean in Underwater. Rachele also makes an interesting discovery about the Oscars in which real-life couple Greta Gerwig and Noah Baumbach both have films in the best picture category for the Oscars.

Melbourne based comedian Akwasi Osei-Tutu joins Cecilia and Lewis to discuss his rising comedy career. The team also discuss Netflix’s new take on Dracula, and the Golden Globes.

The team kick off the New Year with reviews for Taika Waititi’s Nazi satire Jojo Rabbit, and Greta Gerwig’s adaptation of Little Woman. Lewis also dishes the dirt on Ryan Reynolds new Netflix film 6 Underground and the team share what films they’re looking forward to most in 2020!
