Brandon Martinez is a public servant with a lifelong passion for teaching and learning. This is expressed through the community events he hosts promoting awareness of the importance of public mental health and criminal justice. He loves to cook, perform at open mics, be with friends, and explore new places. He is a 26-year-old from Colorado pursuing a dual degree in philosophy and psychology at MSU Denver.

This episode is extra special. It went down at Rock Steady (now Wide Right) Bar in Denver in Feb 2020, right before Covid...It was the first (and only), so far!) time someone read an Unsent to someone in the audience. And it was one of the first times Britt, Unsent host, shared a message of her own on the mic.

Since this show, so much has happened for all of us. And...Britt and Saxon did get married - a few times! In fact, one time was at an Unsent Show in April 2023! But we'll get to that in a future episode.

I continue to trailblaze through my work with others as I help them to discover, know and share their unique gifts. Through creative collaboration and ushering people forward on their journey towards self-actualization, I continue to experience my own growth. My continued work is not just my career but the medicine and inspiration I get to offer to the world, to help liberate humanity in all of its manifestations– physical, mental, spiritual and emotional. I am a conscious creative– working on brand development and intuitive design. I am a medicine carrier– studying on the Mayan Path with Maestra Nataline R. Cruz. I am a movement magician, teaching much more than yoga from the four corners of my mat. Today's guest is Michael Lopez-Jensen, who shared his incredibly warm, funny and deeply true Unsent message on the mic in Denver at the Parenthood Edition back in May 2024.

Michael is a social worker, a father of two, and a fan of the King Sooper's discount cheese bin. He met his wife Silvia in Washington Park on a warm June afternoon almost thirty years ago.

"Taking risks is part of life. Setting boundaries is part of life." These 2 life lessons are important for all of us to remember. And so very easy to forget when you're raising children.

Here's to our children, who remind us to remember what's important, over and over again.

Jadah is a maternal child health Registered Nurse & International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant. Jadah provides women and partners with prenatal education that empowers informed, safe decisions to be made during pregnancy, labor and postpartum.

Partnering with patients, families, and healthcare providers, using evidence-based information to implement best practices during the prenatal, labor, and postpartum periods is her mission with every interaction. Improving infant mortality rates by improving lactation support and safe infant feeding practices is her passion.

Jadah advocates for patients and families during the prenatal period to ensure receipt of infant feeding education, striving to empower informed, safe decisions to be implemented during the postpartum journey. Jadah values evidence-based, quality care, that is collaborative, compassionate, and shared with love.

Steve is a retired IT Professional and he’s on a journey in life to be the best version of himself that he can be. He loves writing comedy and enjoys performing in improv, acting and stand-up.
