  • iTalk #17 : Expectations: A Catalyst for Growth

Do you feel thrilled or bogged down when you see people expecting more from you than you think you're capable of?
    Try looking at them differently!
If people are expecting more from you beyond your capabilities, don't get annoyed with them. Rather, be happy that they see more potential in you.
Imagine if people looked at you and thought, "Oh, we can't expect anything from him." Do you think that would be good for your growth? No, right!
Next time, when someone comes to you with an expectation beyond your capability, take it as an opportunity to stretch yourself. Put your best efforts and see what happens. If you're able to stretch and achieve, it means you have the potential to grow and thrive at the next level. That's all!
Remember, as human beings, we are driven by expectations - either our own or others'.
If there are no expectations, you will never find your full potential.
So, be happy, ask people what do they expect from you, and put your best efforts into it and get done !
    All the Best !

  • iTalk #16 : Change The Path, Not The Plan

Did you know that even science can't fully define human capabilities and the power of thought? Let me share a small learning with you.
We've all learned that vehicle wheels are round to reduce friction between the road and the wheel. But what if I told you that's not the only way? Someone has successfully changed their path instead of the wheel design, and it worked!
Did you notice that the challenge isn't you or your capabilities; it's the path you've chosen. And this happens to many of us!
So, what's the learning here? Sometimes, we may be right, our plan may be right, but we've chosen the wrong path and got stuck.
Remember, you can't find the solution with the same mindset that identified the problem. Real wisdom lies in changing your mindset to find the right solution, and sometimes that means even changing your path.
So, believe in yourself and don't be afraid to try new paths until you find the right one.
    All the best!

  • iTalk #15 : When Attitude turn into EGO

Do you know what's stopping yourself from learning and growing? It's your attitude, which has turned into ego!
As it's Tuesday, I've kept it for Tuning our Attitude!
I've seen thousands of participants come into training, stating, 'I know it all. I don't know why I was asked to attend this training.' That's where the problem lies - they're trapped in a situation called 'IKIA' (I Know It All), and that's the biggest tragedy in one's life.
By admitting you don't know, you'll open up many aspects of your life: wanting to know, longing to know, seeking to know, and seeking knowledge and information will become your natural habit.
This will further lead to experiencing and applying what you've learned.
I remember a life-changing incident from Vivekananda's life: then known as Narendra, was searching for answers about life and himself. He heard about Swami Ramakrishna, a spiritual teacher in Dakshineswar, and decided to visit him.
When he arrived, he knocked on the door and was asked, 'Who are you?' Narendra replied, 'I'm here to find that out.'
Ramakrishna was impressed with Narendra's honesty and invited him in and guided him on a journey of self-discovery and spiritual growth, and later gave him the name Vivekananda.
As Vivekananda's story demonstrates, the seeker of knowledge will always find a teacher, and the teacher will appear when the student is ready.
So, put your ego aside and be mindful of the people and environment around you to learn and thrive in your life!

  • iTalk #14 : The Power of Detachment: Learnings from Arjuna's Wisdom

Though I don't identify with any particular religion, I believe that spiritual teachings can have a profound impact on our lives.
On the occasion of Janmashtami, I'd like to share my personal reflections on the timeless wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita.
    "Karrmanye vaadhikaraste, Ma Phaleshu Kadachana,
    Ma Karmaphalaheturbhurma Te Sangostva Akarmani"
("You have the right to work, but never to its fruits. Let not the fruits of action be your motive, nor let your attachment be to inaction." - Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 2, Verse 47)
Detachment from the outcome is the essence of Karma and When you surrender your attachment to the result, you free yourself to focus on the process, and that's where the magic happens.
Remember, the outcome may not always be in your control, but your effort and intention always are.
By embracing this principle, you'll discover that your actions become more authentic, and your results more profound.

  • iTalk #13 : Unlock Your Potential: The Power of Self-Reflection

    Hey, Happy Sunday Friends!

As it's Sunday today, I know you might not be in the mood for any heavy knowledge or 'GYAN' related to skills, attitude, etc. And don't worry, I'm not going to bore you with that today!

Instead, I want to talk about Self Reflection and Self Realization. Because, I believe, until you look back, you can't move forward. As Steve Jobs said, "You can't connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards!"

So, let me share what happened when I reflected on my previous week's journey. I got three wonderful realizations:

    1. I realized I was more self-disciplined this week compared to my previous few weeks, despite extensive travel and work. I finally got time to rearrange my book shelf, found some incomplete read books, and guess what? I resumed my learning and sharing with you all!

    2. I spent time on fitness, not extensively, but with some stretching, push-ups, and a little workout with a light weight of 10 Kgs. Dumble. And you know what? I felt unstoppable!

    3. The third thing I liked the most is that I picked up my keyboard again and played for a minimal time. I realized I had forgotten almost all my learning, which was a sad realization, but also a happy one because I've decided to start learning from scratch every Sunday morning and play some of my favorite songs again.

That's my reflection and realization for this week. How about you? Feel free to drop a message on WhatsApp, LinkedIn, Insta, FB, or wherever you'd like to connect with me.

I know, you have commitments to family, friends, and yourself on Sundays, but spare some time to reflect on your previous week. See what you achieved and what you missed so you can catch up in the coming week.

    Have a Fabolous Sunday !

  • iTalk #12 : The Power of Attitude: How to Turn Problems into Opportunities

    Hello Everyone!

I'm excited to see you loving and sharing my content!

Thank you for your time and support. As you know, my mission is to empower those who can't afford education. Please keep sharing my content so it reaches those who need it most.

Now, let's talk about today's topic.

Did you know that your attitude makes all the difference in your personal and professional life?

Let me tell you a small story to help you understand this:

A company wanted to start a new shoe business in a completely new market. They hired two sales professionals, John and Mike, to explore the market and submit a projection. John went first, observed the market, and came back looking worried. "This market is a lost cause," he said. "No one wears shoes here. It's a waste of time!"

But Mike was not convinced. He went to the same market, observed the same people, and came back with a huge smile on his face. "This market is a goldmine!" he exclaimed. "No one wears shoes here, which means we have a huge opportunity to introduce our products! We can start with shoes, slippers, and more. We'll be the first ones here, so we'll have a head start!"

Did you notice the difference here? John saw a problem, while Mike saw an opportunity.

Mike's positive attitude and right mental approach turned a seeming problem into a favorable situation.

So, next time you face a problem, remember Mike's approach. Look for what's right there and make it work for you.

  • iTalk #11 : The Shocking Truth: How Social Media is Stealing Your Time (and Money!)!

Have you heard that time is money, if yes then, have you ever thought about the value of your time?

I will help you understand this. Let's do a simple calculation.

Assuming you earn ₹50,000 per month and work 25 days, 8 hours a day, right !

    your daily earnings are ₹2,000.

That means your per hour value is ₹250 ( 2,000 ÷ 8 hours), right !

Assuming, you are getting monthly salary or monthly income from your business Rs. 50,000/- and you are working for 25 days, 8 hrs daily, right.

Which means your per day value of your 8 hrs. time is Rs. 2,000/-, right ?

Now, since you are working for 8 hrs. or I would say, you are being paid for 8 working hrs., then your time's value per hour is 2000 ÷ 8 hrs. which is Rs. 250/-.

Now, imagine you are spending 3 hrs. on Netflix, or scrolling down any other social media for 3 hrs. it costs you Rs. 750/- for that 3 hrs.

    Which means, it's not just 399/- monthly subscription, it's actually 750 x 30 = 22,500 Rs. Subscription.

Don't mistake me, I am not saying that fun is not important in life, However, being mindful of your time is crucial.

So, next time, you scroll down your social media app or subscribe to any streaming channel, be mindful about your time.

If time is money, then save it and spend it carefully !

Stuck with work-life balance? I have an idea !

Imagine a day where you focus on work, spend quality time with loved ones, and get a good night's sleep. Sounds perfect, right?

That's what the 8-8-8 rule is all about!

Divide your day into three equal parts:

    - 8 hours for work (9 am - 5 pm) : work is worship

    - 8 hours for personal activities (divide into two 4-hour slots):

    - Evening (5 pm - 9 pm): exercise, hobbies, family dinner, and 1 hour for learning / personal growth

    - 8 hours for sleep (10 pm - 6 am)

    - Morning : Get up at 6 am with full power & positive vibes

    - go for a workout, have a healthy breakfast, and get ready for work

    By following this rule, you'll:

    - Increase productivity and focus, reduce stress

    - Enjoy more time for hobbies

    - Get quality sleep for better mental and physical health

I understand, Life is unpredictable, but with a little planning and discipline, you can make this rule work for you.

  • iTalk #9 : The Real adventure : Break your limitations

Do something every day that scares you - Eleanor Roosevelt

Do you think, Adventure is just about biking, trekking, Bunjee jumping etc.

    Not really !

The real adventure is breaking your own limitations every day, And, trust me, everyone can do this.

Most people stuck in a 9-to-5 job or running a small business believe that they don't have time to pursue their dreams. But I disagree! Every single person on this planet has same amount of time and the capability to break free from their limitations and live life to the fullest.

So, what are some common limitations people face? Let's break them down:

    1. Limited by your comfort zone?

Take a different route to work or try a new hobby. You might be surprised at how a small change can spark new excitement and growth.

Try taking a different route to work or school. You might discover new neighbourhoods, cafes, or parks that you never knew existed

    2. Fear of failure?

Start by taking a small risk, like taking a new project or assignment in your current role. Remember, if you fail, it's not the end of the world! In fact, FAIL stands for "First Attempt In Learning".

So, view failure as an opportunity to learn and grow. And who knows, you might just discover new strengths and abilities along the way.

    3. Limited by your self-doubt?

Start by writing down your strengths and accomplishments each day. This simple yet powerful practice can help shift your focus from what's holding you back to what's propelling you forward.

Take a few minutes each day to reflect on your strengths and the things you've achieved. Write them down in a journal, sticky note, or even a mobile app. Celebrate your wins, no matter how small they may seem.

Breaking these limitations doesn't have to be grand or dramatic. It's about taking small steps towards your goals every day. And when you do, you'll be amazed at how much more you can achieve and how much more enjoyable life becomes.

So, find out what's holding you back today and push past it. Break free from your limitations and watch your life transform to the next level!
