The Power of Thoughts !
Oh, how wonderful it would be if all our desires were fulfilled in the blink of an eye! But has this ever happened to anyone? Yes, happened once with Saran, a farmer lived in a small village devastated with his day to day life chores.
One day, Saran left his home in utter despair, feeling hopeless and frustrated. He started walking aimlessly, with no destination in mind. As he walked, he felt his stomach growling with hunger and his throat parched with thirst. But no matter where he looked, he couldn't find anything to eat or drink.
Just when he thought he couldn't go any further, he spotted a tree with some shade and decided to rest there for a while. As he sat, he couldn't help but think about food. "If only I had something to eat," he thought to himself. "That would be wonderful!". As soon as he thought this, his favorite dishes appeared instantly! He was thrilled.
He finished eating the food and then thought, "If only I had something to drink, that would be great!" And just like that, all sorts of drinks appeared before him! Saran was thrilled and felt like his luck had finally changed. He drank his fill and then thought, "If only I had something sweet to eat, that would be wonderful!" And promptly, a platter of sweets appeared before him!
He ate and enjoyed, but then started wondering if all this was just a dream. "What's happening?" he thought to himself. "Are there any ghosts or something like that here?" And as he thought, ghosts started dancing before him! Saran got scared, thinking that the ghosts might harm him and kill him. And as he thought, the ghosts started torturing him and took his life!
It all happened under the Tree beneath which he sat, was known as Kalpavrikhsa, (In sanskirt - Kalpa Means - Desire & Vriksha means Tree) as per Indian mythology, the tree said to grant wishes to those who approach it with a pure heart and mind.
Similarly, our mind can also grant us our deepest desires if we cultivate a positive and hopeful mindset. Our thoughts have the power to shape our lives. But we must be careful what we wish for, as our thoughts can also attract unwanted consequences. If we think positive thoughts, we will attract positivity into our lives. But if we think negative thoughts, we will attract negativity.
So, let's all try to think good and wish for good, not just for us but everyone else on this planet. Let's believe in the power of our minds and make our lives better.
