In this episode, I was super thankful to be joined by Detech, who jumped in at the last minute to cover this weekend’s show slot. Detech is someone who probably needs no introduction, having been an extremely successful and widely respected Upland community member for several years now, particularly for his insane skills and attention to detail in 3D User Generated Content creation. Detech has won numerous 3D asset construction competitions over the years. He has dozens of map assets, structure ornaments, karts, and wearables available in Upland, and he was, of course, the winner of the Creator of the Year Award as part of Genesis Week 2024. Beyond all of that, he’s also a husband, father, master entertainer, and widely skilled home renovator, all of which I personally respect and appreciate on top of his jaw-dropping Blender skills. I managed to drag him away from all of that for a while today, and of course from the final creation of his ‘Ivory Rising’ building series he’s currently working on for winning the Upland Genesis Design Challenge 2024. We talked about all of that, of course, as well as his insights and opinions on a range of contemporary Upland events and topics, and I hope you enjoy this chat as much as I did. Who knows how far you’ll travel and where you’ll find yourself if, like Detech, you’re willing to invest your time and efforts into the countless opportunities and finer details available for you to discover and explore in 'The Metaverse and Beyond!'.

In this episode, I was stoked to be joined by UmbrellaBoy, one of the leading Structure Ornament creators with his EYE series metaventure within the Upland metaverse. He is also one of the node managers for the always impressive Halloween-themed Creedmoor Hub. UmbrellaBoy has been in Upland since early 2021, having a literal baptism of fire during the infamous Brooklyn burns and went on to become a highly-respected and heavily engaged Upland community member. His EYE-themed structure ornaments are truly a sight to behold, with incredible attention to detail not just in the designs but also in the mechanics and lore surrounding his series, creating one of the most visually stunning and well-thought-out metaventures in the Upland Metaverse to date. We discussed his journey into and through all of that, of course, as well as diving into a number of both historical and contemporary Upland topics. So whether you’re a discerning eyeball connoisseur, eyeball curious, or like us, you just can’t get enough Upland-related content, I’m sure there’ll be plenty of eyebrow-raising stuff for you in our conversation, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. In this episode, I was joined by Bielykvietok, better known as 'BK' for short, who is the creator of the Eclectic Collections metaventure and a freelance WEB3 consultant within and for the Upland metaverse. Far beyond that, however, BK is someone who has been highly engaged within the Upland community for quite some time, proactively making connections, building communities, and supporting a wide range of community projects. BK has put in countless hours doing so; it’s something she appears to be extremely passionate about. As we discuss in our chat, this is such an important factor in a WEB3 metaverse, where your reputation in the community is one of the most valuable assets you have. Whether it’s supporting OG projects like the Quailwood neighborhood development, creating digestible Layer2 information cards, or offering personalized one-on-one consultancy, BK is more than willing and able to offer up her services, opinions, and insights based on her extensive experience and community connections.
