In the United States, the majority of immigrants, as well as first and second-generation citizens, have historically voted for the Democratic Party. However, this trend has been declining in recent years, particularly among Latinos and those who have fled or left an authoritarian country. For these voters, the best bulwark against communism is the Republican Party, regardless of the racist rhetoric used by Donald Trump.
