Just last week, it was announced that the USC Trojans had had discussions with Texas Tech about a potential home-and-home series in 2027 and 2028. It felt likely that a deal could get done.

After Brendan Sorsby was deemed eligible by a Texas Court, the Big Ten could keep its members from scheduling Texas Tech in the future, which would obviously nix the potential of a USC-Tech matchup.
