17 states – including Utah – are involved in a lawsuit against the federal government over Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act. This section defines what constitutes a disability. It was updated during the Biden Administration, changing the definition of a disability to include gender dysphoria. The lawsuit’s been confusing some people because it says the gender dysphoria part is unconstitutional, but also that the whole section is unconstitutional.
