Monday Evening, January 7th, 2019 - Evangelist Brent Carr

As Jesus and the Disciples approached Jerusalem the Lord instructed them to o to a nearby city to find a donkey that is tied up. He told them to loose the donkey, tell the owner that the Lord needs it, and bring it to Him.

That donkey was loosed by the Lord that day. It was set free, and He used it once it had been unbound.

Do you find yourself bound up today? Are you tied up in sin? Maybe it's a private sin that only you and God know about. Maybe your sin is weighing you down, keeping you from achieving what God has planned for you.

Get near to Jesus today! Fall at His feet and allow Him to loose you and free you from your bindings today!

As we begin this first full week of 2019 many people have made "New Years Resolutions." Maybe you have too. Perhaps your goals for 2019 are physical goals; to lose weight or quit smoking. Maybe they're spiritual; to read your Bible more or be more faithful in prayer.

But all Christians should have at least one goal in common this year; to draw closer to God. Psalm 73:28 says "it is good for me to draw near to God."

Have you set in your heart to draw closer to God this year? Focus on Him and draw near to Him!

Sunday Morning, January 6th, 2019 - When Jesus Crashes Your Pool Party - Evangelist Brent Carr

This morning we kicked off our 2019 Winter Revival with Evangelist Brent Carr with a discussion on pool parties. Sounds like a weird topic for a Winter Revival doesn't it? Bro. Brent talked to us not just about pool parties, but party crashers too!

In the book of John we see Jesus Himself crash a pool party at a place called Bethesda. Many broken men and women gathered around that pool that day, waiting for the waters to move, so they may enter and be healed. But Jesus saw a man lying there, approached him, and healed him!

What happens when Jesus shows up? What happens when He crashed that pool party on the porches of Bethesda? He can fix the brokenness!

Sunday Evening, December 30th, 2018 - Failure to Adapt - Pastor Jared Shumate

The Apostle Paul instructs us to present our bodies a living sacrifice, holy, and acceptable unto God. He tells us that we are not to be conformed for the world, but that we should be transformed.

The transformation that Paul speaks of requires action and true change. It is so much more than simple lip service. We muse be close to God and cleansed. We must show that we are seeking transformation. And once we experience it we will see contentment and shown to be acceptable unto God.

As we close the chapter on another year, 2018 fades away, and 2019 dawns on the horizon, search your heart. Have you been changed this past year, or are you ending the year the same as you began it? Make the decision now to be transformed!

Sunday Morning, December 30th, 2018 - While Men Slept - Pastor Jared Shumate

Do you know what happened while you were sleeping last night? Maybe you have security cameras around your home to record anything that happens while you're asleep. But what about the rest of your neighborhood. What about your city? What about what happened at your family members' homes?

In a parable, Jesus says that while men slept, the enemy sneaked in under the cloak of darkness and sowed fruitless tares among the wheat, trying to ruin the harvest. The Lord explains that the enemy was the devil and the harvest is the world.

While we are sleeping, resting on our habits and inattentive, not being vigilant, the enemy is sneaking in, sowing fruitless seeds, trying to ruin the harvest. And if we are not careful we can allow seemingly innocent things to choke out our Christian life.

Wake up! Be vigilant!

Sunday Morning, December 23rd, 2108 - The Purpose of His Coming - Pastor Jared Shumate

This morning our choir opened up our Christmas service with a wonderful series of songs celebrating the birth of our Savior! We worshiped together with them as they sang of His birth. But we rejoiced in knowing that He's coming again!

As we head into Christmas celebrations over the next couple days, Pastor Jared showed us the "why" behind Christmas. So what was the Purpose of His Coming? His coming was a fulfillment of old proclamations. It was an exhibition of His Power and His Passion.

Why do we celebrate Christmas? What was the purpose of His birth? He came for YOU because He loves YOU! He came to die for YOU!

The gift of Christmas is the He came and died for you! But you can not experience the joy of that gift until you receive it!
