Today's episode was recorded in Los Angeles, California, where Vincent 'Rocco' Vargas was in town to film for the FX TV show 'Mayans.' Vinny is a former US Army Ranger and US Border Agent. He has been all over the internet with companies like Article 15, and his show 'The Vinny Roc Podcast,' and is one of the veterans you can credit with being first into what is largely known as the 'online veteran community.'
Scott Huesing was our guest on episode 025, and when we found out that he was also a friend of Vinny's we decided to make this a threesome. Scott is an incredibly experienced Marine and author of Echo In Ramadi, which is highly recommended by this podcast.
This was a great episode, with topics that include; what veterans mean when they say 'demons?'; where does the best leadership come from?; and trying to help people to help themselves.
You can connect with Geraint at @grjbooks across social media, and find his Afghanistan memoir Brothers in Arms available at all good book stores.
You'll find Vinny at @vincent_rocco_vargas, and Mayans is on FX now.
Scott is online at @echo_in_ramadi, and you can find the book on amazon.
If you are a veteran struggling with mental health, or you just want a bit of help adjusting to civvie life, then say hello to the Royal British Legion at @royalbritishlegion or www.rbl.org
For clips and content from the show, behind the scenes, and photos and videos of the guests' time on operations, follow @veteranstateofmind on Facebook and Instagram, and go to www.vsompodcast.com for links to all the connected sites, and an online submissions form for sending in your questions to the show.
