When Jesus was born, it was a fulfillment of the prophecy that a Savior, the King, would come to earth. He went to the cross and died for the sins of the world, and He rose again on the third day before He ascended into heaven. Just as Jesus came the first time, the Bible tells us that He is coming again. He has gone to prepare a place for us, His bride, and we are called to prepare ourselves for His return. Tune in to find out what that means for us as we await His arrival.
Revelation 12:12 NIV
Therefore rejoice, you heavens and you who dwell in them! But woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has gone down to you! He is filled with fury, because he knows that his time is short.
Revelation 10:1-2 NIV
'Then I saw another mighty angel coming down from heaven. He was robed in a cloud, with a rainbow above his head; his face was like the sun, and his legs were like fiery pillars. He was holding a little scroll, which lay open in his hand. He planted his right foot on the sea and his left foot on the land, '
Revelation 7:1-4 NLT
Then I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds so they did not blow on the earth or the sea, or even on any tree. And I saw another angel coming up from the east, carrying the SEAL of the living God. And he shouted to those four angels, who had been given power to harm land and sea, “WAIT! Don’t harm the land or the sea or the trees until we have placed the seal of God on the foreheads of his servants.” And I heard how many were marked with the seal of God—144,000 were sealed from all the tribes of Israel...
2 Peter 3:8-9 NLT
But you must not forget this one thing, dear friends: A day is like a thousand years to the Lord, and a thousand years is like a day. The Lord isn’t really being slow about his promise, as some people think. No, he is being PATIENT for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to REPENT.
If the people of God are going to persevere in the days of pain, we must be people who PRAY and PRAISE in God’s Presence!
Revelation 4:1 ESVAfter this I looked, and BEHOLD, a door standing open in heaven! And the first voice, which I had heard speaking to me like a trumpet, said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after this.”
John 11:1-6Now a man named Lazarus was sick. He was from Bethany, the village of Mary and her sister Martha. (This Mary, whose brother Lazarus now lay sick, was the same one who poured perfume on the Lord and wiped his feet with her hair.) So the sisters sent word to Jesus, “Lord, the one...
3 SIGNS OF LUKEWARMNESS
1. SPIRITUAL APATHY
“LUKEWARMNESS is a way of saying God, I believe in you, but you just don’t excite me!” –Charles Spurgeon
2. COMPROMISE
3. SELF RELIANCE
Like the church of Philadelphia, we live in a world that is constantly being shaken. Because sin began in the Garden of Eden, all creation now groans in anticipation of Jesus’ return. Until then, even as we go through the trials of life, we are called to love our neighbors as ourselves and to shine brightly for Christ. Though we may feel weak and unsure of how much we can endure, Jesus will make us strong until the end—then we’ll be safe in His presence forever!
