Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Rio de Janeiro is host to 4 major soccer clubs, but the most successful club of the city, in fact the most popular soccer club in the country, with some 22% of the Brazilian population a fan, is Flamengo.

Flamengo was founded in 1895, first as a rowing club, and it took until 1912 for the club to play their first official football match, after a group of ten dissatisfied players from the nearby Fluminense football club broke away following a dispute.

Recife, Brazil. Ainda hoje, em pleno Século 21, muitos governantes no Brasil seguem tomando decisões que determinam o futuro de seus estados em gabinetes localizados em palácios construídos por colonizadores. O governador eleito em Pernambuco, por exemplo, gere o estado no Palácio do Campo das Princesas, uma pomposa edificação construída em 1841 com projeto do renomado arquiteto e militar português Morai Âncora.

Recife, Brazil. Even today, in the 21st century, many of Brazil's politicians continue to make decisions that determine the future of the country from offices located in palaces built by colonisers. The governor of Pernambuco, for example, runs the state from the Palácio do Campo das Princesas, a pompous building constructed in 1841 from a design by the renowned Portuguese architect and military officer Morai Âncora.

Krakow, Poland. Estamos em frente à Biblioteca Jagelônica, localizada na cidade da Cracóvia, na Polônia. Krakow, Poland. We staan hier voor de Jagiellonische Bibliotheek, in Krakau, Polen. De Jagiellonische Bibliotheek maakt deel uit van de gelijknamige universiteit, oorspronkelijk opgericht in 1364, en herbergt bijna 6,7 miljoen werken, waarmee het één van de grootste bibliotheken van Polen is.

Krakow, Poland. We are standing in front of the Jagiellonian Library, located in the city of Kraków, Poland. The Jagiellonian Library is part of the University with the same name, originally founded in 1364, and houses almost 6.7 million volumes, making it one of the largest libraries in Poland.

Recife, Brazil. Estamos na versão Ponte Maurício de Nassau no Século 21, no bairro do Recife, centro da cidade. No dia da inauguração de sua primeira versão, em 28 de fevereiro de 1644, um boi voador atravessou uma galeria no jardim do governador Maurício de Nassau, levando a população presente ao delírio.

Recife, Brazil. We staan nu op de Maurits van Nassau brug, hoewel op een moderne versie, in het centrum van Recife. Op de dag van de inhuldiging van de eerste versie van deze brug, op 28 februari 1644, vloog er een os over de tuin van gouverneur Maurits van Nassau, de toeschouwers gekmakend van verbazing.

Recife, Brazil. We’re standing on the 21st century version of the Maurício de Nassau Bridge, in the center of Recife. On the day of the inauguration of its first version, on 28 February 1644, a flying ox crossed a gallery in the garden of Governor Maurice de Nassau, sending the population into a delirium.
