First, Dom asks Winsome Sears to tell her story, with Sears explaining that her father moved her family only weeks prior to Martin Luther King Jr’s ‘I Have a Dream’ Speech with only $1.70 in his pocket. Sears tells that American patriotism runs deep, with her father knowing that even through the turmoil of the civil rights movement, America was the place for his family to thrive. Then, Sears tells of her time spent in the Marines where she learned the electrician trade, telling about her time spent as a small business owner and electrician prior to her life in public office.
