  • s2 EP 13 - Vulnerability in Action - Project Love interviews Allysa Rochelle
For the final episode of season 2 of Vulnerable Podcast, I wanted to share an interview I did with Selina from Project Love earlier this year. I spoke about the sexual abuse I experienced, living in a cult as a child, being in a coma at 19 and all of the spiritual lessons I've gained on the way.
Selina gave me the opportunity to tell my own story in its entirety for the first time in my life and it was such a simultaneously scary and liberating experience at the same time.
Thank you so much Selina for creating the safe space for me to tell my story. x

  • s2 EP 011 - Let's talk about Sex - ft The Cherry Revolution
Where do I begin? The Cherry Revolution is a movement which raises awareness and sparks honest conversations ranging from sex-positivity, mental health, sexual abuse, to advocating for more thorough sex education in schools.
I sat down a few months ago to talk about sex and it was one of the most vulnerable episodes I have ever recorded. Having experienced sexual trauma, it has been hard to have what I now know to healthy sexual relationships in my adult life. This episode gets deep, we speak sexual trauma, self pleasure, culture, and feminism. • s2 EP 010 - Why we need to process our trauma - ft Donna Lancaster
Donna is one of the Co-founders and facilitators of The Bridge Retreat and has been working with individuals, couples, and groups for over twenty-five years. She originally trained as a social worker, specialising in child protection and worked extensively within this and related fields for ten years.
Donna is passionate that the route to healing is by recognising your grief and then processing it, and I completely agree. I know many people that have experienced loss, trauma, and pain, but I can count on one hand how many people I know that have taken the time and created the space for themselves to really grieve the losses so that it can help them to live a fuller life.
Ask yourself, are you able to breathe, does your heart beat? Do you need food and water to survive?
If you have answered yes to any of the above, then I implore you to create the time to listen to this episode of Vulnerable Podcast, and then maybe you can start to think about how processing your trauma in the future.
Donna is a walking Earth Angel and I feel so honoured to have interviewed her for VP. Get a pen a paper out and take notes. Donna is full of quotables and she gives some seriously profound wisdom in this episode.
Sarah Van Bracknack - Something More
Brene Brown - I thought it was just me

  • s2 EP 009 -Boundaries Vs Barriers ft Naomi Jane
Naomi Jane is an entrepreneur coach and a keynote speaker amongst other things and the guest for our latest @vulnerablepodcast episode on Boundaries vs Barriers. I was inspired to record this episode and speak to Naomi about boundaries after hearing her on another podcast and subsequently following her on instagram. After speaking to her briefly I quickly realised that I had put up barriers that I actually thought had been healthy boundaries, and so it became incumbent on me to record this episode, as my intuition told me that some of yall may be dealing with the same things.
Get a pen a paper out and take notes. Naomi is full of quotables and she gives some seriously profound wisdom in this episode.

  • s2 EP 008 -Being Wifey vs Being Co-dependant ft Ashleigh Jadee
I love this episode with Ashleigh Jadee, we talk about the misconception of falling into the position of wifey when we may actually be co-dependent, we reflected on the reasons why and we got really vulnerable about our history of sexual abuse. We talked healing, spiritual practices and the importance of therapy.
This is another edition of a raw, honest and vulnerable conversation and a glorious listen. Download it and listen whilst you're not on data x

About Vulnerable Podcast

From the publisher's feed

Hosted by Allysa Rochelle, Vulnerable Podcast explores vulnerabilities as strengths and not weaknesses. Each episode I invite a guest to speak on how they have managed to turn some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives into powerful learning experiences, and we explore how these experiences have developed them spiritually and contributed to their wellbeing practice.
