In This Week’s Episode of WrathfoWars, episode 170, we visit Pepsi’s new anti-Nazi Goose-spider factory and talk to their Gay Feminist Bartender.

Now, grab a beer and help us test the god hypothesis — because, while Lunang (the Hindu Kush river goddess) hasn’t struck us down yet, we are trying her patience!

    Jenn’s Actual Lesson

Did you know that the people of the Hindu Kush mountains in Afghanistan pictured Lunang as a capricious young girl, personifying the turbulent nature of rivers?

Outspoken Nazi Set to Win Republican Nomination in Illinois Congressional Race

    * Arthur Jones, a 70-year-old retired insurance agent, told the Chicago Sun-Times he once led the American Nazi Party and heads up a group called the America First Committee, which excludes Jewish members.
    * Jones’ campaign website, under a section titled, “The ‘Holocaust’ racket,” he insists the murder of 6 million Jews was the “biggest blackest lie in history” and that the Holocaust amounted to “propaganda, whose purpose is designed to bleed, blackmail, extort and terrorize, the enemies of organized world Jewry.”

    * The Chicago Tribune reported that he opposes interracial marriage and school integration and was unsure when asked whether black people or Latinos should have the right to vote.
    * According to the Sun-Times, Jones protested the opening of the Illinois Holocaust Museum in 2009. Another time, when he spoke to a group of white supremacists, he said he regretted voting for Trump because the president “surrounded himself with hordes of Jews,” according to the Sun-Times. He told the Tribune he appeared in TV commercials dressed as a stormtrooper and presented himself as “the White People’s Candidate” in 1976. In another election attempt, he advertised in the newspaper with swastikas, according to the Tribune. “I don’t believe in equality,” he told the paper.

    * Jones is running unopposed in a highly Democratic district that includes a part of Chicago and is expected to be easily defeated in the general election.
    * Jones has run repeatedly for office for the past four decades, first seeking Milwaukee’s mayoral seat in 1976. He has attempted to win the GOP 3rd Congressional District primary seven times,

    * Amanda Teague has ditched real-life men for a ghost - and legally married her 18th-century spiritual lover. Like any normal couple, Amanda and her husband Jack Teague go on dates, have arguments and even have sex - despite the fact he died almost 300 years ago. And amazingly, Amanda even hired a registrar and journeyed into international waters so she could legally marry him - using a spiritual medium to allow him to say 'I do' during the ceremony.
    * Now the couple are co-writing a book for other women who are looking to find 'the one' in the spiritual realm. Amanda, 45, says: "He is my soulmate. I am so happy, it is the perfect kind of relationship for me. "There are a lot of people out there who don't know about spiritual relationships, but it could be right for them - I want to get the message out there." Amanda's love affair with the spirit started in 2014 when she was lying in bed one night and could feel his energy laying beside her.

    * Amanda had a previous marriage to a "physical being" for six years and had five children with her ex-husband. But says she has never been able to relate to anyone alive the way she connects to Jack.
    * Amanda works as a Captain Jack Sparrow impersonator and believes the pirate connection is what brought them together.

    * And even though she has never seen her husband in physical form, she imagines he is very similar to the character of Captain Jack, played by Johnny Depp. "He is black, so he is not the same color as Johnny Depp, but he is dark skinned and has very dark jet-black hair, so he tells me," Amanda says.
    * Two years after they first met, the couple got engaged. "Jack proposed to me," Amanda said. "I told him I wasn't really cool with having casual sex with a spirit and I wanted us to make a proper commitment to each other. "If I am going to be in a long-term relationship with somebody I have the right to be married. "I wanted the big traditional wedding with the white dress, it was very important to me." Teens are daring each other to eat Tide pods.

    * First, it was the “gallon challenge” and the “cinnamon challenge.”Then some teenagers started playing the “bath-salt challenge.”They have dared each other to pour salt in their hands and hold ice till it burns, douse themselves in rubbing alcohol and set themselves ablaze, and throw boiling water on unsuspecting peers. Now videos circulating on social media are showing kids biting into brightly colored liquid laundry detergent packets. Or cooking them in frying pans, then chewing them up before spewing the soap from their mouths.

    * As most would expect the game, dubbed the “Tide pod challenge,” is dangerous.

    * It’s not certain how the fad got started. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission issued a warning to parents several years ago about the liquid laundry detergent packets. The agency said the capsules — which are colorful, squishy and smell good — are attractive to young children but contain “highly concentrated, toxic detergent” that can cause harm.
    * In 2015, the Onion published a satirical op-ed from the perspective of a toddler who wanted to eat them. At some point, the pods became alluring to older children. Last year, College Humor published a video titled “Don’t Eat the Laundry Pods. (Seriously. They're Poison.).” It showed a college student researching the dangers associated with exposure to the packets, then devouring them. He ended up on an ambulance stretcher.

    * Leonia, New Jersey sits just west of New York City and near the entrance of the George Washington Bridge leading to Manhattan and the Bronx. Because of the effect of apps rerouting commuters through the town, it adopted an ordinance in November that effectively bans nonresidents from driving through the town. The prohibition of the town's roads is from 6 to 10 a.m. and 4 to 9 p.m. on weekdays.
    * n order to access roads, the driver must prove they are a resident of the street, needing access to their home,

Town in New Jersey to fine nonresidents for driving through town

    * Beginning next week, driving through a New Jersey town could cost up to $200 as the jurisdiction tries to prohibit drivers from using apps like Waze and Google Maps to help drivers get around traffic.

  • Waiting 4 Wrath - Episode 166 - The One Where We All Die Of Dysentery
In This Week’s Show, episode 166, we swallow FEMA’s raw survival beer in the Oregon post-apocalyptic wilderness.

Now, grab a beer and help us test the god hypothesis — because, while Despoena des-PO-uh-na (Greek goddess of fertility, purification and fruit trees) hasn’t struck us down yet, we are trying her patience!

    Shea’s Life Lesson

This week I learned that one of the best things about being chubby is that most of the wrinkles come out of my clothes just by wearing them.

    Jenn’s Actual Lesson

Did you know that Despoena, said to be the daughter of gods Poseidon and Demeter, was conceived by horse rape? Demeter, in an effort to avoid Poseidon’s advances, turned herself into a mare and hid in a wild horse herd. Unfortunately, as Poseidon was also a god of horses, he quickly turned into a stallion and...well, you get it.

But before we get to all that, let’s have a beer!

Listener Lisa reached out to see what nerd stuff she can crochet for us since we are freezing in the studio. Hopefully she will consider Jenn’s suggestion of a full body Spock uniform, plus ears, for Steve.

No iTunes reviews either but somehow Jenn is back to life! You should leave us reviews…

    HL1 - Go Pump Yourself - http://bit.ly/2CIdokm

    * It’s a new year with a bevy of new rules. For Oregonians, a self-serve gas law that took effect last Monday has ricocheted to the top of Internet chatter.
    * House Bill 2482, which was signed into law last year by Gov. Kate Brown, allows motorists to pump their own gas in nearly half of Oregon’s 36 counties.

    * Oregon and New Jersey had long been the only two states in the U.S. to bar customers from pumping their own fuel ― a job performed by gas station attendants.

    * The responses they received ― both serious and whimsical ― prompted the post to go viral over the weekend. As of Tuesday, it had been shared more than 20,000 times and drew more than 18,000 comments.

    * “I don’t even know HOW to pump gas and I am 62, native Oregonian … I say NO THANKS! I don’t want to smell like gasoline!”
    * “I’ve lived in this state all my life and I REFUSE to pump my own gas … This a service only qualified people should perform. I will literally park at the pump and wait until someone pumps my gas.”
    * “Many people are not capable of knowing how to pump gas and the hazards of not doing it correctly. Besides I don’t want to go to work smelling of gas when I get it on my hands or clothes. I agree Very bad idea.”
    * “Yuck! Pumping my [own] fuel in freezing temperatures and handling a nasty ole fuel nozzle that 50 other people have touched that day (and who knows what cooties are on there), no thank you. It’s nice to not have to pump your own fuel.”

    * While it’s impossible to determine which comments are genuine and which are sarcastic, the Internet was quick to poke fun at the Beaver State.

    * “FEAR NOT OREGON!!!! I’ve decided to move to Oregon to open a school to teach people how to pump their own gas … I understand Oregon,
