  • Waiting 4 Wrath - Episode 176 - The One Where We Go Full On Negative Double Rainbow!
In This Week’s Show, episode 176, Ben Carson travels to Mississippi to deny climate changing nanites because science is of Satan!

Now, grab a beer and help us test the god hypothesis — because, while Artio ahr-EE-O (a shapeshifting Celtic bear goddess) hasn’t struck us down yet, we are trying her patience!

    Shea’s Life Lesson

This week I learned that women have a hard time deciding what to eat because the last time they chose, in the garden of eden, they doomed humanity.

    Jenn’s Actual Lesson

Did you know Artio, a bear goddess from modern-day Switzerland, was celebrated as a harbinger of Spring? She was thought to hibernate in the winter and emerged in the spring, symbolizing rebirth and a shaman’s return with new wisdom and insights to share with the world.

But before we get to all that, let’s have a beer!

There’s a new Kickstarter that’s attempting to raise $1200 to print a series of atheist “Chick Tracts” by Satanist cartoonist Tabitha Slander (great name, btw). Let’s throw them a few bucks and get some alternative “literature” out there. They are up to $765 as of recording time and we have until April 19 to get it funded - http://bit.ly/undefined

I was turned onto W4W by Robert & Amy of Secular Yakking. When they decided to end their podcast I had to fill the void! I love W4W. Great people who have a funny delivery to some of the shittiest news they report on. I’m talking to you, Tangerine Donny!
    Keep up the fine work!

HL1 - Climate Change? Normal winter weather? No way, it’s a Jewish conspiracy!

    Washington Post - http://bit.ly/undefined

Please don’t think just because a politician has a D after their name they can’t be wacky as all hell. Please meet Trayon White Sr., a Washington DC council member from Ward 8. Friday, March 17th he posted a video on his Facebook page, where he is filming snow beginning to fall in the nation’s capital.

Beautiful, right? And not exactly unusual in March. Well, I think everything would have been just fine if he hadn’t decided to narrate:

“Man, it just started snowing out of nowhere this morning, man. Y’all better pay attention to this climate control, man, this climate manipulation,” he says. “And D.C. keep talking about, ‘We a resilient city.’ And that’s a model based off the Rothschilds controlling the climate to create natural disasters they can pay for to own the cities, man. Be careful.”

WTF, right? Rothschilds? Climate manipulation? What does that even MEAN? The Rothschilds are a famous European business dynasty descended from Mayer Amschel Rothschild, an 18th-century Jewish banker who lived in what is today Frankfurt, Germany.

Now, grab a beer and help us test the god hypothesis — because, while The Morrigan (the 3-part Irish goddesses of war and fate) hasn’t struck us down yet, we are trying their patience!

    Shea’s Life Lesson

    Jenn’s Actual Lesson

In honor of St. Patrick’s Day, did you know, according to Irish legend, the shamrock became associated with the day bc St. Patrick used the 3 leaves as a metaphor for the holy trinity?

Such an awesome podcast. This awesome group are a Friday afternoon staple for me. I put it on as I head home from work, and love all your segments. Really good commentary on current events and skeptical thinking. I especially love the beer tasting, and it always gets me pumped to try some new beers and gives me some new ones to get my hands on. Such a great group of guys and gal! If there is one fun skeptical podcast you should listen to, Waiting 4 Wrath is it. Love your work Shea, Steve, Aaron, Jenn and Jim!

Update and follow up: White nationalist teacher Dayanna Volitich has been removed from teaching by the school district while it conducts its investigation. Also, here is part of her ‘explanation’: “None of the statements released about my being a white nationalist or white supremacist have any truth to them, nor are my political beliefs injected into my teaching of social studies curriculum. While operating under the Russian pseudonym ‘Tiana Dalichov’ on social media and the Unapologetic Podcast, I employed political satire and exaggeration, mainly to the end of attracting listeners and followers, and generating conversation about the content discussed between myself and my guests…”

Also, thanks to SingleM4lt on Twitter: sounds like Norway has a mental health loophole that allows increments of additional 5yrs added to sentences in prison indefinitely for severe cases. So hopefully mass murderer Anders Breivik can keep his nationalist ass behind bars. They have really nice prisons, anyway, so maybe move him to Colombia or something.

Former Freemason, 51, found drunk and naked inside a huge pipe organ with a toy gun and remote-controlled police car says he got lost while trying to hand out cheeseburgers to the homeless

    * Glenn Langford was arrested on Wednesday after allegedly flooding the Brisbane Masonic Memorial Centre and setting off the fire alarms. He said his intentions were initially well-meaning and the night had got out of hand after downing a bottle of Johnny Walker whiskey.
    * The court was told he had been meaning to hand out cheeseburgers to the homeless. Food was left scattered on the floor of the grand hall of the heritage-listed temple in Brisbane's CBD, which features one of the biggest organs in Queensland. It is feared the organ, installed in the 1930s, maybe too damaged to be repaired despite it being insured for $1 million.
    * Mr. Langford is charged with allegedly damaging a number of organ pipes and destroying part of a decorative wall. He was also discovered naked along with clothes, a remote-controlled police car, and a toy gun. The magistrate heard from Mr. Langford's lawyer who explained he had last week lost his job and was getting over the breakdown of a 16-year relationship.
    * 'Things just got a little loose, I was out of it,' Mr. Langford said. He apologized to 'all the righteous Freemasons everywhere'. 'I did have a lot of cheeseburgers to give to the homeless. I'm going to see a shrink and don't drink,' he added.

    * Activists in California can now move forward collecting signatures for an expansive ballot initiative that encompasses a world of non-evidence-based and fringe notions, according to California Secretary of State Alex Padilla.

    * The initiative would eliminate vaccination requirements for schools and daycares, banish genetically modified organisms, and prohibit basic water treatments with fluoride and chlorine. The initiative would ban more than 300 chemicals, including fire retardants, and it would order the removal of smart meters.

    * The initiative, dubbed the “California Clean Environment” initiative, will create an elected, three-person board to oversee the sweeping regulations and approve new chemicals. Violations of the initiative would be considered up to felony crimes punishable by fines and prison sentences.
    * As justification for extensive regulation, the initiative claims that GMOs and unspecified contaminants in the environment, food, and vaccines are causing cancers, autism, Parkinson's, and a slew of other diseases.
    * “We are trying to restore people’s ability to fight for themselves and decide what they should do,” the initiative’s author, Cheriel Jensen, told Patch.com. “These companies that make the chemicals have taken our right to ...

Did you know that Eros was the son of Aphrodite?

He’s sort of the prototype of Cupid (who is actually his Roman counterpart) but was a hot dude with wings instead of a creepy baby.

All-Male Committee Hears Arizona Bill On Feminine Hygiene Products In Prison

    * A sensitive women’s health issue came before the Committee on Military, Veterans and Regulatory Affairs on Monday: the price of pads and tampons in Arizona prisons. Not all the committee members were comfortable with the idea.

    * “In our prison system,” Rep. Athena Salman said, addressing nine of her male colleagues, “a 16-count of Always ultra-thin, long pads cost $3.20.”
    * “Rep. Salman, Can you keep your conversation to the bill itself? Please?” Rep. Jay Lawrence interrupted.
    * “Yes, Mr. Chairman,” Salman replied, and she went right on talking about tampons and pads. That was, after all, what House Bill 2222 — the bill she sponsored — is about.

    * Under current policy, women in Arizona prisons get 12 pads a month for their menstrual cycle. Additional pads cost more money. So do tampons. Salman’s bill would allocate $80,000 annually to the Arizona Department of Corrections (ADC) from the state general fund so that all women in state prisons have access to free, unlimited, feminine hygiene products.
    * “I am just a female that menstruates,” said Jennifer Jermaine of Chandler, who came to speak in favor of the bill. She thought the current allotment of pads for prisoners was equivalent to a human-rights violation. “I know what my personal usage is, and I know that 12 items would get me through about two days.”
    * It was unclear why Salman’s bill was assigned to Lawrence’s committee, but he wasn’t happy about it.

    * “I’m almost sorry I heard the bill,” Lawrence said.
