The fifth component in C.A.R.T. is CHEMISTRY!

There's so much strange behaviour among people in the modern dating scene, especially in Vancouver, BC, Canada. So I brought in a "dating enthusiast" and Best Before Podcast host Al Dee. We talk about the modern dating scene and touch upon toxic chemistry, platonic chemistry, and being self-aware while dating in today's modern dating world. If you are finding dating apps, and the Vancouver dating scene frustrating, I encourage you to listen in! The fourth component in C.A.R.T. is CONNECTION! 

Imanol and Sara discuss how they deepened their connection by building a friendship, trust, and safety with one another. They open up about how they were able to do that from their shared experiences, being vulnerable, and having empathy for one another.

A strong emotional connection means that you are heard and understood by the other person, understood in a way that is at a higher level and beyond any friendship. Imanol and Sara have built a deep connection that they can communicate easily and things flow effortlessly. Sara specifically has been able to let go of toxic relationship patterns and has learned with Imanol what a healthy, loving relationship, with a deep connection looks like.

The third component in C.A.R.T. is COMMITMENT! 

Chad & Fero are a dynamic duo who are the creative genesis behind the branding of WUBU. Chad and Fero talk about overcoming several obstacles in their relationship; from living in different countries during the pandemic to starting a business together, and the struggles of being in a same-sex relationship. Even though gay marriages are excepted here in Canada, let's not forget that it is still not excepted everywhere in the world.  

Due to the challenges that they had to face, they know the commitment it takes to make a successful relationship work. They share their struggles and how they have conquered the obstacles throughout their relationship and marriage.

Second component in C.A.R.T. is COMPATIBILITY!

Sally & David share the meaning of compatibility in their relationship. They have been together for four years, are engaged, and they continue to create an adventurous life together.

Sally & David are different, yet similar. They are two individual people, who have different approaches to their relationship, hobbies, and different likes, and dislikes. However, what remains constant is their core values align and their goal is to make the relationship thrive and conquer life's battles together.

First component in C.A.R.T. that is fundamental to healthy, interdependent, long-term relationships is COMMUNICATION!

Liana & Jason share how they have used communication to build the foundation of their relationship. They have been together for over three years, and they continue to build on their life together providing safe space for each other to be able to communicate their concerns, and how much they appreciate each other. 

Both Liana and Jason had to adjust their communication styles to be able to navigate their relationship, especially in the early stages of dating, and the additional cherry on top to their budding relationship with Jason's children. Their communication has played a major role in their love story.

The beautiful, Carly, provides her perspective on Enrique's podcast episode, dating, and how important it is to build a strong relationship with yourself before getting into a relationship. 

Carly talks about her dating experience, the highs and lows, and how understanding her attachment style helped her find a partner who is compatible. Sometimes when we don't have any success in dating, we have to look internally and take ownership on the role we play and the importance of finding love for yourself first!

Cillian Sheil is the brother of our previous guest, Enda Sheil. Cillian joins us in this episode as he speaks candidly about his addiction with drugs and alcohol and his struggles to recover.

Cillian was vulnerable finding himself alone and in a very dark mental place before he finally quit alcohol and drugs and fully started his recovery. He takes us on his journey of manipulation, shame and guilt from his actions during his addiction, to three years of sobriety. 

Cillian is beating a new drum and working and living in Meath, Ireland. As well as he is the drummer in the band Scattered Ashes. He has also started modelling again, after taking several years hiatus from modelling.
