Sometimes the hardest decisions are the right ones. Enda made the decision to move to Canada and distance himself from his family to heal himself mentally. • One Man's Perspective about Women and Dating with Enrique

This interview was an intriguing conversation about women, the dating culture, and how to keep a guy after sex. Enrique provided some insights and a different perspective. Great listen if you are dating and looking for long term, committed relationship. The structure of this episode is completely different. It has nothing really to do with Enrique finding himself, if anything, it altered my way of thinking and approach to dating.  In September he will be launching a course with his friends.

  • Moving Forward from Abandonment - A Father's Day Special Episode with Marissa Rodriguez

This father day special focuses on Marissa Rodriguez's, the author of Whispers of Me, as she embarks on a journey in building relationship with her father.

Marissa has a beautiful soul who has built the strength to be vulnerable in her book, on social media, and in this interview. She takes us on an emotional journey with finding her father and how she talked about the struggle of re-wiring her mindset and letting go of the belief that she was abandoned. Which is difficult because for the longest time she believed that her father didn’t want to be part of her life.

Like she said in our interview her relationship with her mother has been strained from her decision to build a relationship with her father. She talked about how difficult it is to have lost one parent but yet gained another. When all we truly want as someone’s child is to have both parents support us throughout our lives. When we are young we want to believe that our parents are our hero’s and that they are unbreakable and what they say or do is right.  But in reality our parents are human and that they have their own struggles they’re going through, and that insecurities and how they deal with different situations isn’t perfect. And unfortunately sometimes their actions and decisions, whether those decisions were made out of love, have unforeseen consequences to us, as their child.

Marissa's book can be purchased on Amazon and check her out on Instagram @Cosmicsoulartist

  • Creating a Banana Split Sundae Kind of Life with Yra Jai

What does it mean to create a "banana split sundae kind of life?"

It's about building a life that you love and a life that you don’t want to escape from. It is about finding happiness on your own without needing someone else to complete you, because REAL life and REAL love is not a Jerry McGuire movie.

In this episode it talks about how to create a life that is delicious, full of flavour, and confidence in yourself before getting into a romantic relationship. Your partner should not be your everything, but only the cherry on top, an addition to your already amazing life. If the relationship doesn't work, and the cherry on top falls off, your life is still this delicious banana split sundae.

Getting over breakups doesn't start when the relationship ends, but should have began before the relationship even started. And that starts by creating a life that you love and confidence in yourself.

He opens up how that experience as a 12 year old has affected his adult relationships.

To move on from his inner child experience, Todd had to come to the realization that his parents are just humans and are trying their very best. Todd talks about the duality that he had gone through as a child, when he was a kid, but also was an emotional caregiver when his parents divorced and it gave a whole different perspective and dynamic of his relationship with his mother, his romantic relationships with his partners, and even his platonic friendships, including myself (Yra Jai).

  • Having Conversations about Sexual "Normality" with Chad Evans

Having conversations with people with different opinions and perspectives is already tough. Imagine having a conversation that pushes the boundaries of social norms regarding sexuality with anyone, let alone your family. Chad Evans, admitted to his family at a young age his sexual identity when he realized he did not identify the same as the majority of the population. With the lack of information and unfamiliarity of different sexual identities, there is a sufficient amount of people who find it difficult to understand how someone, like Chad, identifies differently than they do.

It is important to educate ourselves, and have conversations about unfamiliar topics, especially topics that push the boundaries of societal norms. Change is good and being open minded is the first step.

Chad has evolved tremendously since revealing his true identity to his family at the young age of 15. However, his WUBU moment came when he first started going to therapy and realized that he was living his life for everyone else and not for himself. He realized that no matter what he was doing, he was focused on everyone else's opinions. He had to get over the fact that everyone has an opinion no matter what and even though their opinions didn't align with his, it shouldn't effect his life.

Check out Chad on Instagram @blamechad. Also check out his marketing and branding company which he runs with his husband, Fero, called @elevin_elevin! They are the creative geniuses behind Waking Up from Breaking Up.
