So Russia is facing a fuel shortage due to Ukrainian strikes and regular people around the world are making it worse. We’re already seeing massive lines, fights breaking out, and nonstop scams as Russian citizens try to find gas as more and more stations implement restrictions. But now, we have an app showing which stations have fuel and which don’t, and it’s public, for anyone to update.

Overnight Russia carried out a massive drone and missile attack against Ukraine with a heavy focus on Kyiv. Already 18 have been confirmed killed with another 90 wounded and as the search continues, both numbers are expected to rise.

According to Russia, this strike was in response to the recent attacks on oil refineries that actually, continued today.

Russians are now acknowledging that they do not have enough air defense systems to cover the gaps created by Ukraine. In other words, we should expect more successful Ukrainian strikes on more high value targets more often. For a military and a nation at war, that’s the type of thing that can quickly spiral out of control. And we might be seeing the early signs of that as fuel restrictions have now impacted 89 different regions across Russia.

So Russian logistics continue to burn across the occupied territories, but, as expected, the Russian military is learning and adapting. So it looks like Russia is making a big problem even worse. New intel suggests that Putin is relocating air defense systems from around the country to Moscow. In other words, Putin and the Moscow elite will be better protected at the expense of the soldiers at the front and the overall Russian economy.
If this is accurate, it’s hard to overstate it’s significance. The problem Russia faces is that every day, they have to protect a larger area with fewer assets. And not everything can be a priority which means quite a few areas are going to become even more vulnerable to Ukrainian strikes.

We need to start thinking about what happens to Russia if they cannot protect themselves from Ukrainian strikes. I mean it’s one thing for a single drone to slip through here or there but we’re seeing dozens of strikes each day against high value targets in areas that Russia knows it has to protect.
This is genuinely a time in the war unlike anything we’ve seen over the past four years.
