A varied topic conversation today, where Iowa Football specific discussion happens in the back 25% of the show. We discuss the Bills game, the opening kickoff, and dive into Kickoff rules and how to make them balanced. Kevin and Kluver both brought home Championships in their hometown Fantasy Football leagues and they hash out how the canceled game factored into the matchups. The boys discuss some recent Iowa basketball results that parlays into the conversation surrounding Patrick Mccaffery taking time away to deal with mental health, including a look back at times where we ourselves felt overwhelmed with similar issues. This episode features a 25 minute introductory conversation that includes the normal WUW BS and banter. The boys reminisce on nearing a decade of knowing each other, ponder why Kluver is so easy to crap on, and more. Then the discussion turns to the osmosis of QBs in and out of Iowa, and the mindset that kids these days are taking with their career. We ask the question, are kids thinking through some of these decisions given the statistical reality of roster nuance in college football. We talk other portal grabs like Seth Anderson, Erik All, and potentially a Stanford Offensive Lineman, and what those players could mean for the Hawkeye roster moving forward. We pitch Jack Campbell on air on why he should come on our podcast, and we finish with conversation about Tory Taylor, Nico Ragaini, and Joe Evans returning for more football, and Lukas Van Ness deciding to take his shot at the NFL.

Join us as we ring in the New Year! We recap a Hawkeye Victory over the Kentucky Wildcats in the Music City Bowl. Led by the Defense of course, 2 pick 6's, and a 'serviceable' outing by 3rd string young gun Joe Labas. We discuss the ins and outs of the Hawks bowl game, and why this was such an Iowa win. We also dive deep into the emotional Coach Ferentz that has been seen as of late, and the connection to this senior class led by guys like Campbell and Laporta. We ponder if Kevin could give us one more game, if the Semifinal matchups featured any actual 'good' football, and talk about early thoughts on what the Hawks could be next year.
